Whats everyone doing for Christmas?

I have my Dads' family on the actual day, but the Saturday beforehand, its my mum's side at our house. For both, I'm making a pavlova...Which I must admit, is better than the shops one cuz its so soft. I'm going to make some other sweets from a recipe book for my mums' side, show them my cooking capabilities xD

watching my daughter open her gifts and taking pics of her enjoying them

The whole family will be at my sisters for Christmas Eve and then probably my brothers for lunch on Christmas Day and sisters for dinner

And I really dont mind working Christmas. Because I dont have kids, and I believe the people who do have kids should have it off. Just as long as i get New Years off, if you know what I mean lol

I understand that completely. Christmas is mostly about the kids You should still enjoy yourself though, hang with friends/family.

We usually exchange all our gifts on Christmas Eve.

The first part is Christmas Eve.. the second part is leaving Christmas morning to take an hour drive to where my mom is living which is in Canada... & the third part is within Christmas day, & then the next day I'm back here.

Dec 12-19 Im going to Ohio to see my family so I wont be on then.
Ill probably be working for an hour and a half Christmas day, Dinner, and presents.

This will be my first Christmas away from family since they all moved to Texas.

I cant wait though since it usually is alot of arguing and nonsense. It'll be nice to relax at home with nowhere to go.

Am I the only one that still gets a bunch of present for Christmas???? just had to as...anyway I'll do what I normally do, open one gift at Mid-night. then save the rest for later that morning, then I'll see what everyone else, then can up the wrapping, eat, and enjoy my new stuff. I actual have video footage from the Christmas before last, My sister and I almost got arrested that Christmas..ahh good times.

All I care about is going to my hometown for hopefully at least a week, and getting drunk everyday with my old friends and family, and eating cookies

I hear ya, but I bet when you're older you'll appreciate it again. You'll probably be living someplace else, so Christmas turns into a time when you get to go home, and not only that, all your friends and family who also live away return home as well. Thats what I love about Christmas. Maybe its different in other places, but in my hometown Christmas is just one huge party. Its great.

I just liked Christmas for my daughter nowadays. watching her open her gifts and get all excited. One of my fave moments.

yeah i think all parents do. My daughter is doing much better than I was as a kid.

When I'm surrounded by our family that converges to our house every year, I stay drunk as much as possible. It's more fun to watch the eventual family squabbles and arguments when your a bit loaded. I'm inviting my girlfriend over to stay with us for the first time this year so it'll be a first. Cookies and video games all the way.

Since my family is miles away and going to miss them my first ever christmas away from home. My friend is saving up to head to germany, if me and another friend could also save up, we'll join her. I mean it's the least i could do, seeing that it's that or spend Christmas in an empty room, with my cousin......not so fun.
