I'm watching The Lion King clips on youtube, why did they stop after “Simba’s Pride”? Why didn’t they continue making sequels?

They really did not need a Lion King 2.

I personally think they don't need to keep going with alot of movies. When the first is as good as it is, leave it alone unless you can make the sequal just as good, or better, but that's highly doubtfull.
