QOTR 2009 Finals: Michelle McCool vs Tara

This yearly tournament is held to determine which woman had the most significant year, according to her accomplishments, improvement in wrestling skills and character portrayal, and how the fans perceive her, regardless of whether or not booking favored her.

- became the first woman to win both the WWE Women’s and Divas Championships
- had a number of notable bouts against Melina and Gail Kim


TARA’s 2009 Highlights:
- was a one-time TNA Women’s Knockout Champion, and is currently the #1 contender
- defeated Awesome Kong in a six sides of steel match at Turning Point
- reached the semifinals of the TNA Knockout Tag Team Tournament

Because I want to.

Regardless of being the first to hold the womens and divas titles, and having a successful title reign...Michelle couldn't defeat Kong in a Steel Cage match.

I voted for Tara. I agree with TRX. Tara was able to beat one of the best wrestlers-Kong in a steel cage, had good matches in TNA.

Im glad shes getting some kind of due, even though shes been getting short title runs.

I am very surprised that these are the two women that made it to the finals. Although I like them both, I have to pick Michelle.

Michelle Mcool deserves this win. Tara is good but come on 15 days and 10 days for title reigns? One is out of the year so you really are not suppose to accknowledge that. On the other hand McCool has been champ for a solid 5 months and before that was having great matches that were building her up for her eventual women's title run.

And I think it is fitting that McCool beat Victoria on her final tv wwe match so the results should mirror that.

She beat jobber Victoria in her final match, not Tara xD

Well so far the votes show McCool beating Tara so that is all that matters.

But the thing is, Michelle wouldn't be booked to do so, and Michelle couldn't dive off of cages onto Kong, like Tara could. Michelle would be destroyed like Trish was to Chyna.

That's stupid to only judge it on a cage match. Michelle had the better year
