Rob Marshall is bringing one of his "Nine" ingenues to the 'Stranger Tides' with him.
Heat Vision reports that the director of the forthcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean" sequel has enlisted Penelope Cruz to play the female lead alongside Johnny Depp. She'll play "Sparrow's foil and equal in many ways", says the trade.
Though the script is being kept under wraps, it's said to revolve around the Fountain of Youth.
"Pirates of the Caribbean : On Stranger Tides" is headed before the cameras this Summer. Disney release it in theaters May, 2011
