Update on WWE's tag team division

After doing away with the Unified Tag Team Titles a few weeks ago, WWE has been wanting to make the belts more important and create more tag teams to contend for the titles.

Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre will face The Hart Dynasty in a non-title match on this week’s Friday Night SmackDown but it’s not confirmed yet if they will get a title shot at Night of Champions. It is possible WWE may add the match at the last minute.

There has been discussion this past week about building the tag titles up. The idea is to make a few regular teams on both RAW and SmackDown so the champions will have several credible challengers.

One idea is to do a Survivor Series style match at the pay-per-view in November with tag teams from both brands. The match wouldn’t necessarily be a RAW vs. SmackDown match but a heels vs. faces match.

Cody and Drew is a terrible tag team combination anyway, doesn't even fit together WTF. What a terrible, terrible division. WWE neglected it for the over the last three-four years then decided 'hey! we need some teams!'....NO SHIT.

I love how Gatecrashers challenged Hart Dynasty so many weeks ago on superstars yet they never got their match.

What the fuck would be the point in having champs on both shows if you JUST got rid of two old belt designs? They coulda kept those and worked out some sstorylinyline leading into SS.

Funny how the few tag teams they have are rarely seen on TV. Want a Tag division? Base it on those guys. Better them then nothing!

Good job WWE on "improving" your tag division. You have the most credible and over tag team get eliminated first by the jobbers who have been losing constantly to Santino/Kozlov. Then you throw in a random tag of Mark/Bourne, and have another random pairing win after tagging twice with no reason why they are teaming...
