Cena's Next Potential Feud [could be spoiler..]

Cena's next feud is reported to be CM Punk.

According to a prominent member of the WWE staff, Cena is a big fan of Punk's, and thought WWE could have gotten a lot more out of Punk during his run with Randy Orton.

With Punk reportedly in a contract dispute with WWE (his contract expires at the end of the Summer, and he has not elected to sign a new agreement), Cena went to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon with a similar pitch to how Cena worked Chris Jericho's final program when Jericho first took a leave of absence from WWE.

While WWE hopes Punk will eventually stay with the company, it looks like his exit will come at the hands of John Cena should he decide to leave.

Of course, with Punk being in a feud with "The Champ," WWE has the option to offer Punk a title run in order to sweeten the offer for him to stay.

"This is going to be interesting to watch," another key WWE insider told us this evening, "Punk is very smart, and Cena understands WWE politics better than anyone other than HHH and Undertaker. A feud between the two of them may be the smartest thing WWE can do to get Punk to stay!"

Give Punk WWE title, Mason US title then eventually work a program between Mason and Punk for title. Yeah unoriginal, but something new.

Ahhh the days when there was a title fued not involving Cena...uhm ...wait -_-

Well yeah I do want to Punk to be WWE champ and depending on if Mike and David are still tag champs then making Mason the US champ for a little while would be a good moment.

what? they gave Jeff Hardy the World title twice (EVEN THOUGH HE WANTED OUT) 3 months before his contract expired in the hopes hed stay. your logic fails

Then he lost the title in a ladder match, got beaten the hell out of following weeks and finally defeated in a loser leaves WWE cage match by CM Punk.

actually the week after he lost the title is when he left WWE, but the point still stands. he was pushed to the moon in the hopes hed sign a new contract, so it does happen

Yeah I agree. I just don't feel WWE values CM Punk as much as Jeff unfortunately, especially to go over Cena.

Nah, they would do it in a heart beat, just to add yet another reign to Cena's name.

The WWE/WHC has become basically a meaningless toy in the WWE. It's kinda sad tbh.

What I think should happen and what wwe ends up doing are usually two different things so yeah...
