Well, i played the Sonic Generations demo for the first time today, and i
gotta say...i enjoyed playing it. It actually felt like a fluid Sonic
game, albeit theres only the 2D stage, i have yet to try the 3D one, but
i digress, it was fun to try out.
Gameplay: Excellent
controls, it reminded me of the old school Genesis controls. Jumping was
precise, the "speed factor was there as well (hes no longer "slow" as
the angry fans like to say he is). That hover dash concept, in the 2D
aspect, seems to be not there, which is good. I didnt care for that in
Sonic 4, but that was a decent game with or without it.
Graphics: Graphics are amazing, as they recaptured the Green Hill Zone from Sonic
1 and remade it perfectly. They added a few twists here and there, but
the baddies and Sonic himself look pretty damn good.
Music: The
music, what can i say...it was Sonic 1 goodness all over again.
Although if you take too long to play the stage, the theme repeats, but
all and all, its not bad.
Pros and cons, i havent played the full game yet to decide whats good and whats bad.
Overall: This is a pretty good demo that everyone NEEDS to try out. It defintely
puts Sonic 06 to shame, and it could FINALLY be the Sonic game that
shuts everyone up in terms of how "bad" the series has been, because
lets face it...it really hasnt with the exception of Sonic 06 and Secret
Rings. Not every game can be Sonic Adventure 2.
