TNA Impact Wrestling on Thursday, July 21 scored a 1.26 rating off a first hour 1.16 rating and second hour 1.35 rating.
The 1.35 rating was the second-highest second hour rating of the year, behind the March 3 episode when Sting returned to TNA.
BeerMoney2_LC_4.jpg The second hour was boosted by a 1.46 rating in the seventh quarter-hour for the Beer Money-Mexican America exchange and Knockouts brawl.
The eighth quarter-hour then declined to an above-average 1.32 rating for the Angle & Sting vs. Anderson & Ray main event.
First Hour Break Down
Q1: Impact opened with a show-low 1.13 rating for the standard Immortal talking segment and one commercial. For the 12th week out of the last 13 weeks, Q1 has scored below the overall show average, reversing a pattern from the beginning of the year when Q1 was typically Impact's highest-rated quarter-hour. (down 6.4% vs. 2011 average)
Q2: Impact increased slightly to a 1.16 rating for Scott Steiner vs. RVD, one commercial, and the first-half of a Knockouts brawl involving Mickie James. (down 1.3% vs. 2011 average)
Q3: Impact inched up to a 1.18 rating for the second-half of the Knockouts brawl, a video package on the BFG Series, and two full commercial breaks. (down 0.8% vs. 2011 average)
Q4: Impact stayed the same with a 1.18 rating for Tara & Tessmacher vs. Sarita & Rosita in the Knockouts Tag Title match, plus one commercial. (up 3.1% vs. 2011 average)
Second Hour Break Down
Q5: Impact jumped to a 1.33 rating for the four-way BFG Series ladder match involving Matt Morgan, A.J. Styles, Gunner, and Samoa Joe. This was followed by one commercial and Eric Young in a pre-taped video. (up 5.4% vs. 2011 average)
Q6: Impact declined slightly to a 1.28 rating for Brian Kendrick vs. Alex Shelley and one commercial. (up 6.4% vs. 2011 average)
Q7: Impact popped to a show-high 1.46 rating for the verbal exchange between Beer Money and Mexican America, one commercial, and a Knockouts brawl replacing Mickie vs. Velvet Sky for the KO Title. (up 23.4% vs. 2011 average, with Q7 typically being Impact's dead quarter-hour)
Q8: Impact declined to a 1.32 rating for the main event of Kurt Angle & Sting vs. Mr. Anderson & Bully Ray. There was also one full commercial break at the start of the quarter-hour. (up 7.5% vs. 2011 average)
