Beth Phoenix and Kelly Kelly React to What Happened on Raw [WWE.Com Interview!]

Showing a strange but welcome focus on the Divas, WWE actually followed up on what happened on Raw last night by getting comments from both Beth Phoenix and Kelly Kelly following the Glamazon’s attack on the Divas Champion.

Beth tells WWE.com: “Why I attacked Kelly Kelly? Why are you even asking that. You should be talking about what everybody else is talking about and that’s [that] I just defeated 11 other Divas to become the #1 Contender for the Divas Championship.”

“You want a real story?” continues Beth, “Tune into SummerSlam and watch me win the Divas Championship for the first time.”

Meanwhile, Kelly is also asked about the incident, responding: “Why did Beth Phoenix attack me tonight? I don’t really know why she did. I mean, we were really good friends inside and outside of the ring. She was somebody that I leaned on for advice and then tonight, it blindsided me.”

“I don’t know why she decided to attack me and throw me into the wall and call me a bimbo,” says Kelly. “I don’t know where that came from. Maybe it’s some inner anger issues that she had towards me. I just don’t get it but I’m gonna tell you one thing: At SummerSlam, I’m coming after Beth Phoenix.”

DD's Thoughts: Kind of odd to see WWE invest in the Divas even with little extra clips on WWE.com, but that gives me just a glimpse of hope that things will step up following last night’s hot start to this feud. Fingers crossed that they keep this momentum going and don’t drop the ball.

I think kelly will retain her title at summerslam,and i also agree with the whole lets keep our fingers cross they dont mess up the storyline.I feel like this can turn into one of kellys best feud since layla.

I also have a feeling [it's bad] that Kelly will retain.

I can see them doing the same format they did when Candice Michelle retained at Unforgiven 2007..

If that happens Beth better win at NOC.

Who knows this might continue after summerslam into NOC but if that does happen then beth either wins the title or the match ends up in a DQ.

I think Beth will win at NOC since they want to give KK a good title defense and at a big PPV..

Oh well I do want to be surprised.

exactly, this is a big match. Kelly is quite popular and Beth has gotten a lot of good heat for attacking her so this is the kind of feud that needs to be built up over time. maybe either have Kelly win by countering the Glam Slam into a roll up or pin Beth in a controversial way (her foot on the rope and the ref doesn't see it) and keep the feud going

I think we are going to get the Mickie James Glam Slam roll up for the 'surprise' win..

Followed by a beat down by Beth and hopefully Natalya.
