| Subject: January 23rd Raw Ratings Are In Wed 25 Jan 2012, 12:27 am | |
| WWE Raw on Monday, January 23 scored a 3.18 rating for the final Royal Rumble PPV hype, up six percent from a 3.01 rating last week.
Raw averaged 4.62 million viewers, up eight percent from an average of 4.29 million viewers last week. Raw did follow the concerning pattern of second hour viewership declining, though, for the 13th week out of the last 14 weeks. Raw averaged 4.67 million first hour viewers, then declined to an average of 4.57 million second hour viewers.
The overall Raw rating was the highest since a 3.23 rating on November 28 and the overall viewership was the highest in two months dating back to Nov. 21 - the night after The Rock's in-ring return at Survivor Series.
-- Raw benefited from no NBA competition and no U.S. presidential debate on cable TV, which was the case last week for the first Raw without NFL/college football competition since August. As a result, Raw ranked #3 on cable TV, trailing History Channel's hit Monday night programs.
Raw ranked #2 in males 18-34 & males 18-49, trailing "Pawn Stars" on History, and ranked #1 among teen males. Raw's m12-17 rating increased 29 percent from last week to the highest rating since December. However, m12-17 was still 27 percent below the demo rating one year ago this week.
Raw also saw a week-to-week increase in adult males 18-49, but males 18-34 declined two-tenths of a rating for essentially a wash in the key male demos.
