TNA Basebrawl house show results July 14, 2012 Memphis, Tenn. Report by Erik Mirth, PWTorch reader
(1) Madison Rayne beat Velvet Sky. Good match; Rayne drew good heat!
(2) Mr. Anderson beat "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero in a Bound for Glory Series match. Good crowd interaction with Anderson; great work by both men.
(3) James Storm beat Magnus in a Bound for Glory Series match. James was a crowd favorite; very good match. I did the meet-and-greet beforehand and both men were very nice.
(4) Jeff Hardy beat Crimson. I thought Hardy was facing Austin Aries, as advertised! As for the match, both men looked great in the ring. After the match, Hardy gave pieces of his armbands to the kids in the crowd.
(5) TNA tag champions Daniels & Kazarian beat TV champion Devon & Garett Bischoff to retain the Tag Titles. Good heel work from Daniels and Kaz. The match was decent for what it was.
(6) TNA World Hvt. champion Austin Aries beat Bobby Roode to retain the TNA World Title. Slow start to the match, as Roode kept leaving the ring, which drew heat. The match went into the stands at one point and on the baseball field. After Aries won, Roode stayed out and chased Earl Hebner and the ring crew with steel chairs.
Overall, a great experience. I recommend going to a TNA live event, as they are very crowd-friendly and the meet-and-greet was phenomenal. Also, Don West's replacement was very good and got the crowd going. No Jeremy Borash, though. TNA had a local radio DJ host the show. Everyone in the crowd left happy! | |
