BREAKING: Shaul Guerrero Quits Developmental

Hot on the heels of the news that female wrestler Beth Phoenix is leaving WWE shortly, another Diva's departure from the company has been announced.

Over at F4Wonline.com, Dave Meltzer has confirmed the somewhat-surprising news that third generation Diva Shaul Guerrero, who appeared on FCW TV and Internet-only show NXT under the name "Raquel Diaz," has quit developmental:

Shaul Guerrero aka Raquel Diaz asked to be released from her WWE developmental contract. She was considered to have excellent potential as a talker, the best of any woman on the roster, although her ring work was not nearly as advanced.

Shaul, the daughter of WWE manager Vickie Guerrero and the late Eddie Guerrero, inked a developmental deal with the company in 2010, following the trend of the company signing second- and third-generation wrestlers (Tamina Snuka, Natalya, the Usos, Ted DiBiase Jr, Cody Rhodes, etc).

During her time in developmental, she held the FCW Divas Championship. As Meltzer notes, she also gained acclaim for her charisma, promo skills and in-ring presence.

Guerrero later made a handful of appearances on the revamped NXT this summer as a bold, brash heel Diva who trashed the other women for being "ugly." That was before her character suddenly disappeared from the show last month.

not a loss at all, she was by far the worst wrestler there especially for someone who had been training for nearly two years. hopefully now Emma can get onto NXT regularly

the heel side is pretty thin with Skyler in rehab but they can just let Audrey work heel along with the main roster girls. Charlotte and Anya probably won't be TV ready for a while. hopefully Mercedes KV is on her way
