Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon says she has zero plans to run for office again following two unsuccessful Senate campaigns in Connecticut.
"I have absolutely no plans to run for office again," McMahon said in a sit-down interview with the Huffington Post publication. McMahon says her future plans include trying to affect politics "from the outside," and working with business and political leaders after "learning" from Connecticut voters during her two campaigns.
Asked if she regretted spending $100 million to fund both campaigns, Linda did not give a clear answer, but said she felt money needed to be spent for "media" and "infrastructure" because she was on her own building the campaigns.
Linda also stressed her positive view on what she took away from campaigning in 2010 and 2012: "I thoroughly enjoyed campaigning because I got to meet people all across Connecticut and hear what their issues were."

Asked about the current "controversy" surrounding WWE's portrayal of heels Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter, Linda laughed at being asked a WWE question, then dismissed the story, saying, "WWE is a storyline," and equated it to Batman conquering the latest villain in the end. Linda did not address the specific "controversial" aspect of how WWE has characterized the villains in the storyline.
The remainder of the interview focuses on current political and government issues, where McMahon runs through hypothetical scenarios if she were elected to the Senate. McMahon also stresses her mission to empower women to positively affect the economy and government to strengthen the country.
