Jonathan Solofa Fatu, better known to WWE fans as Jimmy Uso, was arrested on Wednesday morning in Hillsborough County, Florida and charged with driving under the influence. SmackDown wrestler Jimmy Uso was arrested Wednesday at 12:47 p.m. in Hillsborough County, Florida, and charged with driving under the influence, according to the official website of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. He did not stay in jail for long as he was released on $500 cash bond that day at 3:08 p.m.

Uso, whose real name is Jonathan Solofa Fatu, was previously arrested on September 29, 2011 in Tampa, Florida, on suspicion of driving under the influence. An officer observed Fatu at approximately 3:00 a.m. that day driving the wrong way down a one-way street in a silver Mustang.

Uso's run-in with the law comes on the heels of Jack Swagger's arrest in Gulfport, Mississippi, last month on charges of driving under the influence, marijuana possession, and speeding. He faced no repercussions from WWE. The last WWE talent to be arrested in Hillsborough County was Brodus Clay's dancer Cameron, who was charged with driving under the influence on August 24, 2012.

An attorney representing Jonathan Fatu (Jimmy Uso on WWE television) issued a statement Wednesday clarifying Fatu's current legal standing.

Fatu was not arrested on a second DUI charge last week, according to the statement from attorney Keith M. Goan, Esq. The "arrest" was Fatu turning himself in to the Hillsborough County Jail after being "erroneously cited for driving on a suspended license" and after police filed an "affidavit of violation of probation."

Fatu was placed on probation following his DUI arrest in September 2011. (The letter incorrectly stated the DUI charge was in 2012; PWTorch clarified that the letter is referring to his Sept. 2011 arrest.)

Fatu's attorney noted that Fatu pled "No Contest" to the DUI charge, was placed on probation, and Fatu "completed terms and conditions of his probation as directed by the Court" before he was cited for driving on a suspended license.

The letter concludes: "We are extremely confident that once we get on the Court's docket, Mr. Fatu's probation will be terminated and the citation for driving on a suspended license will be dismissed."
