We have been saying how Wrestlemania's lately seem to just be a lot of matches we've already seen before, but one funny thing you may not know is that the Rock and Steve Austin have faced eachother three times one on one at wrestlemania.
Wrestlemania 15 WWE Title NO DQ
Wrestlemania 17 WWE Title NO DQ
Wrestlemania 19

There has been a few repeat matches at WM, you're right.

Rock/Austin (3) - WM: 15, 17, 19
Rock/Cena (2) - WM: 28, 29
Taker/Michaels (2) - WM: 25, 26
Taker/HHH (3) - WM: 17, 27, 28
Taker/Kane (2) - WM: 14, 20
Kane/Pete Rose lol jk (2)
E&C/Hardyz/Dudleyz (2) - WM: 16, 17

That's all I can think of right now.

My problem is this trend of planning a match or rematch for next year's 'Mania then drag the shit out. Some of which we may have already seen at another ppv.

Yeah I get that. With Rock Austin, most probably wouldn't have noticed at first they had competed at three wrestlemanias because there was a year gap between them all. Even with Shawn/Taker/Triple H it made sense for there to be another one for both matches.

I think the harping on a rematch is just the usual IWC anti-Cena obsession. If it had been, two straight years, Punk in Cena's spot, they wouldn't have been griping.

Some other rematches...

Trish & Jazz: WM 18 & 19, just with a different third person in each (Lita & Victoria).

WM 21 was originally going to be another rematch from WM 18 with Trish & Lita.

And, let's not forget, as much as we would like to: Melina vs Ashley, WM 23 & 24. I mean, of all people to get two straight WM shots at Melina...

Yes, people were hating the rematch because of JUST Cena, nevermind the fact that last years feud was completely overhyped and the match underperformed to peoples standards, not to mention that this years match was pretty much a carbon copy of last years. But nah, its just anti-Cena obsession.

Sure, some is anti-Cena; but certainly not all. Again, I bring you back to Undertaker's two most recent back-to-back matches with Michaels and HHH: many people were looking forward to a second match (especially Taker/HBK,) but there were plenty who preferred seeing someone less established (or someone else, period) have an opportunity on the big stage.
