2013 Hall of Fame announcement

In-ring: TNA president Dixie Carter was introduced to the ring. Carter tickled the ears of the fans, then said they are celebrating every man and woman who has stepped into this ring over the past 11 years. Together, they have built TNA into a "global success." Carter got down to business that she will be announcing the second inductee into the TNA Hall of Fame. Last year, it was Sting. For tonight's announcement, she asked the roster to come out on-stage.

The TNA roster slowly spilled out on-stage, including Sting and Hulk Hogan, then Kurt Angle bringing up the rear. After the TNA theme music stopped, Dixie said she is very proud to announce the second Hall of Fame inductee. "And that is...Kurt Angle." Angle sold as if he won a big contest, then nervously walked into the ring. Angle hugged Dixie, then TNA rolled a video package on Angle's history.

After the video aired, TNA cut back to the ring, where Angle was crying. Dixie hugged Angle, who then stood back in the ring. Dixie grabbed Angle's hand, then noted Angle "crossed the line" in 2006 when he came to TNA. Dixie said Angle gave this company the ability to know that they would make it. So, the 2013 Hall of Fame inductee is Kurt Angle.

Dixie gave the stage to Angle, who raised his hand in the air to soak up the crowd applause. Angle said he wasn't expecting this, then noted he's had some awesome moments here in Boston. But, this one has to be the best so far. Angle thanked the Good Lord for giving him the gift to wrestle, then thanked his wife and kids at home. Angle said he's just glad to make everyone proud, then thanked Dixie for bringing him here. Angle said Dixie and her family made him love wrestling again, then said he's very humbled by this.

Angle shouted out to A.J. Styles (his opponent tonight), Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, James Storm, and other guys who have been here since the beginning. Angle said he's in the Hall of Fame because of them, then thanked Dixie and Jeff Jarrett, which drew some applause. Angle said this company changed his life and he appreciates each and every one of the fans. "God bless you," Angle concluded before his music played.

Ringside, Taz "set aside" his Aces & Eights allegiance to say he's thankful for this moment for Angle. Keneley then noted Angle will wrestle Styles later tonight before feeding to a third video package on Sting's title history.

Not really a good choice IMO.
Not saying he Dosent Deserve it or anything I just feel like Kurt shouldn't of been put in before the guys that actually was apart of TNA since the beginning Jeff Jarret,AJ Styles,Soma Joe should be in there before Kurt does because those 3 were in TNA before TNA was well known.

I agree.

I think they put him before others because they wanted to be able to induct Kurt before anyone else could.....

Obviously WWE would and still will induct Kurt but still I think they like being the first to do so.

I mean it isn't like WWE is going to put AJ Styles or Samoa Joe in so TNA can save them for later and get Kurt in before WWE could.

Shocked Raven ain't been inducted yet

They only do 1 person a year [at least now] and Sting and Angle are the only people in so far out of 2 years.

Raven will probably get in but if they keep going 1 per year it will take a while.

I could see him getting in a year when there are 5 people inducted though.

I liked his promo work always felt wwe always used him poorly

When I think of Raven, I think of his days at ECW. He doesn't feel like a guy who has been a part of TNA's growth. TNA's HoF is much like any other HoF in that it is purely political. It's just sad that their HoF's foundation is stars who made their name elsewhere and went to TNA after declining.
