WWE Live house show results
June 9, 2013
Fayeteville, N.C.
Report by Jarred Hufford, PWTorch correspondent

World Hvt. champion Dolph Ziggler came out and talked trash about how he wasn't cleared to compete. Ziggler said that Alberto Del Rio would face Big E. Langston, instead, and A.J. would compete as well. About 65/35 cheers-to-boos for Ziggler. It was also announced that we could vote for a 2/3 Falls or No DQ match for the main event.

(1) The Usos beat the Prime Time Players. Usos had a good reaction, while the PTPs got nothing, which was surprising as they did an autograph signing earlier in the day at Ft. Bragg and had a pretty decent turn-out. The Usos won with the superfly splash.

(2) Justin Gabriel beat Hunico. No reaction at all for Hunico, as most people didn't even know who he was. Gabriel got a loud pop and won with a springboard kick from the ropes. No 450 splash tonight.

A Paul Heyman promo (via tape) was shown. Heyman promoted Curtis Axel and hyped how he "perfectly" defeated Triple H and John Cena. Well done, as he gives it his all no matter what he's doing. "I ain't gonna be wit y'all in the Caroliiiiiinnaaaaaas" was his line. Priceless Heyman.

Next was a good promo from Curtis Axel talking about all his wins and his heritage, saying he was better than The Ax and Mr. Perfect. This led to his match against "that Irish idiot" Sheamus.

(3) Curtis Axel beat Sheamus via count-out. A really good, solid match. Huge pop for Sheamus, as the kids loved him. Lots of stalling by Axel at the beginning. Sheamus hit all his big moves and Axel kicked out of all of them. The finish came when Axel tried to leave the arena and Sheamus chased him down and started throwing him into the barricades. Sheamus wound up running into the ringpost and was counted out.

Post-match, as Axel was celebrating, Sheamus came in and hit the Brogue Kick to let the crowd have a feel good moment. Intermission followed, as they plugged merchandise and the photo booth.

(4) Alicia Fox & Layla beat Aksana & A.J. Lee. A solid tag match for the ladies with some comedy butt-shaking spots to start the match. Also, Layla and Alicia spanked A.J. and Aksana, respectively. There were tons of "A.J.'s crazy" chants, which led to Aksana and her fighting. A.J. then left Aksana when she went for a tag and Aksana was rolled up by Layla for the three count. A.J. was really over with the crowd, pulling off the crazy chick perfect and arguing with them after each chant broke out, either covering her ears and trembling or by screeching "I'M NOT CRAZY!"

(5) Alex Riley beat Heath Slater. No reaction for A-Ry until he won with the TKO. Slater got some decent heat, but nothing big.

(6) Great Khali beat Jinder Mahal in a total squash. Jinder talked some pre-match smack, but was quickly taken care of and ended with a chop.

As Khali was celebrating, Big E. Langston interrupted with Ziggler and A.J. and delivered the Big Ending to Khali. This led to the main event, which was voted as No DQ.

(7) Alberto Del Rio beat Big E. Langston in a No DQ match. Lots of kendo stick shots made it "No DQ." The finish came when Dolph and A.J. tried to interfere and the ref threw them out (Ziggler threw his shirt off and dropped a Flair elbow on it when this happened) and then Del Rio dropkicked Langston through a table to pick up the win.

The arena was about 70 percent full and had a solid crowd. No return date was announced, but a good time overall.
