TNA has hired former high-ranking WWE employee John Gaburick to the position of Executive Vice President of Television Production. The hiring is effective immediately and Gaburick will report directly to TNA president Dixie Carter.
According to a press release issued by TNA, Gaburick will "oversee management and production of TNA Entertainment television including live Impact Wrestling, marketing and advertising production, special projects, and digital assets."
Gaburick was the Vice President of Television Production for WWE prior to abruptly leaving the company in May after spending 13 years working directly with Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn.
“I’ve always admired Dixie Carter and TNA as a uniquely dynamic and growing organization,” Gaburick was quoted in the press release. “This opportunity marks an exciting new challenge for me, and I am honored to join the team.”
“As TNA evolves, John’s award-winning creative vision and production expertise coupled with his sports and entertainment industry business savvy make him the perfect person to push us in new directions,” Carter was quoted. “He is a gifted and innovative storyteller, and we are thrilled to have him on board.” | |
