TNA Releasing Talent Today.

PWInsider reports that TNA is contacting a number of talents today to inform them that they've been released from their contracts in further cost-cutting moves. There may be as many as five to eight names released today.

PWInsider reports that Joey Ryan and Christian York have both been released from TNA. York won the Gutcheck last year and Ryan had a long angle to introduce him after a "failed" tryout.

Meanwhile, the website reports that Taylor Hendrix has also been released. She was signed through the Gutcheck and appeared a few weeks ago on Impact, challenging Knockouts champion Mickie James.

So can TNA just drop the whole Gut Check idea? The losers don't get contracts, the winners get contracts, rarely get used, then get released sometimes without even competing.

Crimson has also been released today.

I wonder who is next? Rockstar Spud? Jay Bradley? Gunner?

Yeah her contract ended and it doesn't look like she's going to be resigned. She's only 27, so I think she'll be with one of the big promotions if/when she's ready to come back from pregnancy.

More than just the Knockouts division is affected

TNA let a lot of talent go at some point we can all try to blame Hogan. But my thinking is TNA is probably overpaying Hardy,Sting,Angle,WWE people who were released.

Blame Dixie for signing guys like King Mo and Rampage

I forgot all about those great signings. Possible Rampage do something for them but always found the idea mma and wrestling contracts combined to be foolish. They ain't showing up on tna when they don't got a fight big waste

This is what happens when you sign someone like hulk hogan who has no idea on how to run a buisnees

Hogan ain't running the business. Dixie been Hogan been critical of Dixie in interview in the past during interview promoting tna.

Yeah as alluded to above, I think TNA is overpaying former WWE talent, then forced to cut their own talent. They are trying too hard to be like WWE, which they will never be. They have a better chance at being successful as an alternative. Signing MMA guys whose focus will always be MMA, isn't a great idea either.

It's like they are trying to be ambitious in all the worst areas.

Because Dixie Carter doesnt know how to run a business, period.
