TNA Impact TV taping report
August 15, 2013

Impact Spoilers 8/22/13
(1) Bobby Roode & Kazarian beat TNA tag champions Gunner & James Storm in a non-title match that morphed out of a promo; it wasn't announced.
(2) Joseph Park saw blood and won the "Street Fight" over Hernandez, Jay Bradley, and Christopher Daniels to win 20 points. Hernandez was very impressive.
(3) Gail Kim defeated ODB.
- Bully Ray and Tito Ortiz came out to cut the usual promo. I really liked how at the start, he refused to recognize himself as a "two-time" World champion because "he doesn't recognize Sabin's reign." Ray said: "You didn't beat me, I beat myself." Nice touch admitting the mistake with the "hammer" helped Sabin win the title while at the same time using it to dismiss Sabin, who should get another shot, but with TNA's sketchy logic, who knows.
Then, Bully said it was time to tell the world his secret. He asked Brooke to come down. The Brooke Hogan music played, but Miss Brooke Tessmacher showed up instead. She came down the ramp and they made out.
- Main Event Time: Aces & Eights and Main Event Mafia came down; Mafia still had four money. Mr. Anderson introduced Bully Ray, who came out with Tessmacher and Tito to sit on the ramp and watch the match.
Then, just before the bell rang, A.J. Styles's music hit. He walked out. Bully Ray confronted him, he walked past Bully, stopped, then a sudden change to his original music and he stripped out of the hoodie coat. BIG crowd reaction to this.
(4) Main Event Mafia beat Aces & Eights when Devon was pinned. Very good match (Rampage saw little action) with Styles hitting the Clash on Devon, and Devon taking the pin to sail off into the sunset. A few minutes after the match, Devon began receiving a standing "O" from the crowd. He acknowledged it, took off his Aces & Eights vest, and Norfolk gave him his due, whether he's actually "leaving" or not. Devon flashed the old 3D hand signal a couple of times.
Then, for some unknown reason, they taped an Xplosion match with Joseph Park (w/Eric Young) beating Jay Bradley. | |
