The main question on the minds of fans regarding BG is his TNA release. In a company with a political landmine of a landscape, it seems like there are sweeping changes almost on a weekly basis. Recently, those changes came to a head for the writers and agents. As some new ones were brought in, standing ones were let go and James was one of those names. James Guttman asks B.G. about his release. Was it a surprise? The former Roadie answers…
"Yeah. To be very honest, I was caught very much by surprise. They were using me as a road agent for the house shows, TV, and pay-per-views, but what surprised me the most was the house shows. I was really the only agent they had going out on the road for all the house shows they were doing every weekend. So that kind of caught me by surprise because I didn't think they would just call me one day and say, 'You're done. Thanks for all your work.' I kind of thought that maybe if I got let go it would be, you know, they would give me some time or something. So I was caught be surprise for sure."
BG goes on to talk about where he was when he got the call, the politics of TNA, his view on Jim Cornette's passion, and many more in-depth views on the problems the company faces and the critics who sound off about them. It's a good chance to hear the stance of someone who was so recently with a company that many often wonder the direction of.
Although he's out of TNA, this opens the door for the thing that fans have been asking about for years. Is there a possibility that the former Road Dogg will return to his crotch-chopping ways in World Wrestling Entertainment? After close to a decade, will the former DeGeneration X star rejoin Triple H and Shawn Michaels in the stable? With the restructuring of DX as a Hunter/Shawn team, is that even a possibility? Guttman asks and BG James explains to ClubWWI.com listeners….
"Sure, it'll be in the cards for me. But (laughs), it would not be up to me. I am on Facebook now and that's a big change for me to sit behind the computer. But that's predominantly the question I get asked. 'What about DX? What about DX?' Tell you the truth, last night was the first time I've watched their show - like I said, I've got kids, so I'm usually watching Nickelodeon. But last night, I actually sat down and watched the start of their show, anyway. I see (Triple H and Shawn Michaels) come out and they're great, man. They got a huge pop. For me, that would be something that would be ideal. But I'm not in that ring shape like they are. They're working every weekend or working every other weekend. I just haven't been in the ring in a while. So I might just b e a nuisance to them. I think for a couple of pay-per-views, that would be a good pop."
BG James goes on to tell ClubWWI.com listeners about wanting to rejoin the group in 2006, feeling he should be there, the VKM vs. DX feud, having to rename himself and the New Age Outlaws, and more.
Another topic that James Guttman and BG discussed was politics. Starting with a question about TNA's celebrity desperation, JG brought up the Sarah Palin offer. BG discussed that, Pac-Man Jones, and more. But, to him, politics and wrestling don't usually mix. To this, Guttman asked about Linda McMahon's run for Senate. The D-O-Double G gives his thoughts on it…
"I was actually surprised that she was running for the Republican party. Not in a bad way because I'm probably more Conservative than I am Liberal... Of course what comes to my mind, because I watch a lot of cable news, and so what comes to my mind is, 'OK. What has her husband done in her life that can be brought up against her in her campaign?"
BG and JG go on to talk about Linda's run, the drug questions that are sure to follow and tons more.
