20th Century Fox has nabbed the rights to Electronic Arts’ Spore video game to create a CG animated feature, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Chris Wedge (Ice Age) will helm the project while writers Greg Erb and Jason Oremland will pen the screenplay. Spore, designed by Will Wright, invites players to evolve creatures from a cellular level. The creations then can interact with life created by other game users.
