| WWE Hell In A Cell Opener:
The video package airs, highlighting the three main event Hell In A Cell matches. The pyro explodes and Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler run down the RAW card. Todd Grisham and Jim Ross run down the SmackDown! card, including a video package of the history between Undertaker and CM Punk, starting with the screwjob at the Breaking Point PPV.
Hell In A Cell (World Title): -CM Punk © vs. The Undertaker
Match immediately goes to the outside of the ring. Undertaker slamming Punk into the cage a lot early. Punk runs back in the ring to avoid Taker. Taker chases him in, Punk goes outside the ropes and is on the apron. Taker with a running boot that knocks Punk off the cage, where he blasts the cage back-first. Taker goes out after Punk after a few moments and Punk slams the steel steps into Taker. Taker is down now, selling his knees. Punk smells blood and is on the attack. Both guys are battling on the apron now and Taker launches Punk shoulder-first into the cage. Taker back on the offense now but still selling a bad leg injury. Taker drops a legdrop across Punk's throat on the ring apron. Taker continues to sell his leg injury. Punk is in the ring now with Taker coming back in. Punk hits a running dropkick on Taker as he's entering the ring, knocking him to the floor. Punk hits the ropes and does a dive over the ropes, smashing Taker into the cage. Back in the ring now Punk and Taker are trading punches and headbutts as the crowd starts to really get into the action. Taker with a big boot and a leg drop. He tries a pin but only gets two. He's back up now and signaling for the chokeslam. He slaps the hand on Punk's throat but Punk kicks Taker in his bad leg. Punk goes to the floor and pulls a steel chair out from under the ring. He goes in the ring and blasts Taker with it and immediately covers him for a pin. Taker kicks out at two. Taker hits a Last Ride out of nowhere and tries a pin, but this time Punk kicks out at two. Taker goes for "Old School" now. He walks the ropes but Punk pulls him down and lands a knee to the mid-section. Taker hits a big boot on a chair into Punk's face. He chokeslams Punk. He picks him up now for the Tombstone and hits it. He covers Punk and gets the clean victory to become the new World champion.
Winner and NEW World champion: The Undertaker

| Intercontinental Title: -John Morrison © vs. Dolph Ziggler
For the second straight match the champion has entered before the challenger. In the last match, the title changed. Let's see if that's a pattern tonight. Morrison is in the ring now as the cage is lifted back in the ceiling. Ziggler is in now and our I-C title bout is officially underway. Lots of mat-wrestling with reversals and pin attempts to start the match off. Really good match, almost impossible to keep up with. Morrison with some undescribable moves/spots while Ziggler dominated offense for the most part. Finish came when Morrison finally hit the Starship Pain finisher, after several failed previous attempts.
Winner and STILL Intercontinental champion: John Morrison
Josh Matthews Interviews Batista & Rey Mysterio
Backstage, Josh Matthews is with Batista. Matthews goes to introduce Rey Mysterio, but Batista takes the mic and tells Matthews to get lost. He introduces Mysterio and tells Matthews now he can do his interview. He asks about when they were WWE tag-champions. Mysterio talks about how they'll become Unified tag champions tonight. Batista says Jericho and Big Show have never defeated them and agrees he and Mysterio will become tag-champs tonight.
In The Arena: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Four people dressed up in full Ninja Turtles costumes are shown dancing in the audience. This leads us to a clip of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game. PG baby, PG. Michael Cole even passionately let out a "cowabunga

| Divas Title: -Mickie James © vs. Alicia Fox
Lots of back and forth action early on. Nothing too terrible so far. Fox hits a northern lights suplex and tries a pin, but Mickie kicks out at two. Mickie hits a sloppy DDT on Fox now and covers her. She gets the pin to retain the Divas title.
Winner and STILL Divas champion: Mickie James
Unified Tag-Team Titles: -Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Rey Mysterio & Batista
Mysterio and Jericho starting things off. Both guys trade some offense. Jericho tags in Big Show. Mysterio teases a tag to Batista, but takes on Big Show himself instead. Show dominating the piss out of Mysterio now. After lots of offense from Show and Jericho, Mysterio finally makes the hot tag to Batista. Batista is cleaning house now. After some Batista domination, Jericho hits the Codebreaker out of nowhere. He tags Big Show back in. Big Show and Jericho take turns working over Batista until he makes the hot tag to Mysterio. Mysterio with a big DDT on Big Show. Cool spot where Jericho is thrown to the floor, but Big Show catches him. However, Batista nails him with a spear causing both men to crash to the floor. Mysterio hits the 619 on Big Show and goes for the follow up, but Big Show nails him with a knockout punch for the pin and victory.
Winners and STILL Unified Tag-Team champions: Chris Jericho & Big Show

| Hell In A Cell (WWE Title): -John Cena © vs. Randy Orton
Orton gets a mixed reaction coming out. Cena is pretty much shit on. Cena smiles to acknowledge the reaction he got. And our WWE title Hell In A Cell bout is underway. Loud "Cena sucks" chant early, followed by "Let's go Orton" chants. After some early fire offense, Orton slows things down and is in control of the action now as an "RKO" chant breaks out. Definitely an anti-Cena crowd. Orton rams Cena into the ringside steps on the floor. Orton has Cena back in the ring now and is setting him up for the punt but Cena avoids. He knocks Orton down with some shoulder blocks as the crowd starts boo'ing. Cena tells Orton who he can't see and hits the ropes for the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. He hits it on him as the crowd shits all over the spot. Cena has Orton up for the Attitude Adjustment now but Orton slides down the back and escapes out of the ring, pulling Cena's throat down over the top rope in the process. Orton has Cena draped across the middle rope and hits his DDT spot he likes to do. Orton sets up Cena for the RKO but Cena avoids it and hoists Orton up for the Attitude Adjustment. He hits it this time and immediately covers Orton, but Orton kicks out at two. Cena looks noticably disappointed. Cena tries going for the Attitude Adjustment on the top rope, but Orton escapes and has Cena up. He hits an electric chair and is now in control of the offense again. Cena momentarily gets some shots in until he tries a big legdrop off the top rope and misses. Orton now with the slow-moving eyes thing as he creeps around at ringside. He goes under the ring and pulls out a steel chair. He's still creepy-eyeball'ing Cena as he gets back in the ring and picks up the chair. He hits Cena in the back of the neck in a stabbing motion with the chair as Cole reminds us that Cena is a year removed from neck surgery. And another shot the same way by Orton followed by a nearfall. Out of nowhere, Cena slaps the STF on Orton. Orton tries crawling to the ropes but the hold won't be broken anyways. He makes it to the ropes and the ref tells him that means nothing. Orton trying to crawl completely out of the ring now. Cena eventually lets it go. He grabs Orton's legs but Orton pushes Cena into the ref. The ref is down now and Cena locks in the STF on Orton again. Orton is tapping out but the ref can't see it. Cena helps the ref back in the ring. He turns around and Orton hits the RKO. Orton tries a pin but Cena kicks out at two. Orton looks distraught now. Orton tangles Cena's arms up in the ropes now, leaving him defenseless. Orton slaps a choke on Cena and is choking the life out of him as the announcers question if this is legal. Obviously it is. Orton continues to choke away. He lets go and Cena's head drops, as he's still tied up in the ropes. Ref untangles Cena from the ropes and he falls face-first onto the mat. We have a close up as Cena tries getting up and Orton punts him. The only thing is, he missed by a mile and the camera was RIGHT in on it for us to see. They end the match on that spot anyway, with Orton getting the clean pinfall to become the new WWE champion.
Winner and NEW WWE champion: Randy Orton

| Josh Matthews Interviews R-Truth
Josh Matthews is backstage with R-Truth. He introduces a video package of their history on SmackDown. We return after the video and Matthews asks how he feels about finally going one-on-one with Drew McIntyre. R-Truth says now it's time for the moment of truth. He talks about how he's been disrespected by McIntyre one time too many. He says here in the U.S. to get respect, you gotta earn it. He finishes with his that's the truth speech.
R-Truth vs. Drew McIntyre
And now it's time for our dark match, I mean our sixth match of the night. R-Truth comes out with his rapping and "what's up?" chants on the live mic. McIntyre hits the ring as JR describes him as a future World champion. Lots of "booring" chants from the crowd, despite the actual in-ring action being pretty good. This just feels like a "who cares?" match at this point. McIntyre hits a double-underhook DDT for the clean pinfall victory in his WWE PPV debut.
Winner: Drew McIntyre
Backstage: Tension Between Randy Orton & Legacy?
Backstage we see a close-up of the WWE title. The camera pans up and Orton looks exhauted. Legacy walks in and tells him how great what he did was. He says after they take out D-X they should all go out on the town tonight. Orton looks beat up and says even if you win, in Hell In A Cell you come out a different person. Legacy continues to talk with over-confidence as Orton keeps looking around like they don't know what they're talking about. Rhodes tells Orton he's starting to look beat up like his old man. Orton tells them he has no idea what they're in for. He tells Rhodes "by the way, I'm not your old man. I'm the WWE champion." Orton says if he were them, he'd listen when Orton talks. DiBiase says they shouldn't underestimate them and Legacy walks off as Orton looks confused.

| United States Title: -Kofi Kingston © vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger
Miz comes out first with a microphone. He says tonight he will become the U.S. champion. He says the only problem is he's going to win it here in Newark, New Jersey. "Boo." Miz wants to quote his good friend Conan O'Brien who said all sewers lead to Newark. He says it makes sense - why else would the Ninja Turtles be here? He pleads for the Mayor to ban him from this city forever so he has an excuse never to come back. Lots of double team action as Swagger and Miz are strangely enough getting along and joining up in taking out Kingston. Miz finally turns first, taking out Swagger with a clothesline. Finish came when Swagger hit the gut-wrench powerbomb on Miz. Kingston then immediately hits Swagger with the Trouble In Paradise kick and gets the pinfall to retain his title.
Winner and STILL U.S. champion: Kofi Kingston

| Hell In A Cell -D-Generation X vs. Legacy
D-X makes their entrance, tossing out glow sticks, etc. and are attacking by Legacy. Rhodes and DiBiase attack HHH and HBK before they even enter the cage. The fight is ongoing now outside the cage on the floor. D-X finally gets the upper hand and clears off one of the announce tables. They pick up Cody Rhodes and double suplex him on the table but it doesn't break. DiBiase comes out of nowhere and smashes HHH into the cage. He's working over HBK now. He takes HHH and dumps him into the first row. DiBiase suplexes HHH back over the barricade and onto the floor. On the other side of the cage is HBK and Rhodes fighting. HBK whiips Rhodes into the barricade hard. HHH and DiBiase are fighting way up in the crowd on one side of the arena while HBK and Rhodes now make their way into the crowd on the other side. Rhodes grabs the chain they use to lock the door and whacks HBK in the knee with it. He runs up the ramp, where HHH and DiBiase are now fighting, and blasts HHH with it too. Now it's a two on one attack on HHH as Legacy double-DDTs him on the ramp. Rhodes hits the Cross-Rhodes on HHH on the steel ramp now. They both go down now to double-team HBK, who is at ringside leaning against the cell. Rhodes holds HBK's leg against the inside of the doorway of the steel cage. DiBiase slams the cage door on his leg twice. Rhodes grabs the chain and locks HBK in the cell with both members of Legacy, as HHH is still out on the ramp. The cage door is locked shut now and HHH has no way inside. Legacy continues the assault on HBK as the bell rings to make the match official. The crowd boo's at that. HBK crawls to his feet as both Legacy members are standing on each side waiting for him. HBK looks scared. Legacy begins the double-team on HBK inside the ring now. HHH is shown still laid out at the top of the ramp. Legacy working a lot on the leg of HBK that they slammed in the cage door earlier. We see HHH struggling to his feet now. He's trying to walk down the ramp but keeps falling down in his attempt because he's still hurt, etc. Legacy continues to beatdown HBK outside the ring now, but still locked inside the cell. Rhodes slingshots HBK face-first into the cage. HHH is finally crawling to the cage now. He doesn't seem to notice that he's locked out yet. DiBiase and Rhodes taunt HHH now who is shaking the cage like a madman because he's locked out and can't get in. Meanwhile HBK runs into Rhodes on the apron and he smashes into the cell hard on the way down. HBK now taking it to DiBiase in the ring, hopping around on one leg selling the injury still. HBK hits Sweet Chin Music on DiBiase and tries a pin but Rhodes breaks it up. Rhodes now whacks HBK in the back with a chair. Rhodes goes back to work on HBK's injured leg. HHH has a chair now and is smashing it into the lock/chain on the door. DiBiase continues to taunt him from inside the cell. HHH gets real pissed but calms down and walks away to the back. Legacy continues their attack on HBK. They scream in his face that his partner left him. HBK looks pitiful with one of his facial-acting jobs. Legacy continues slamming HBK into the cell. Rhodes holds a chair and DiBiase dropkicks it hard into HBK's face. Legacy puts the same double-submission on the ring-post that they used at Breaking Point to make him tap out. HHH is coming back out to the ring now with bolt cutters. He cuts the chain off and finally gets in the cell. He throws DiBiase out of the ring. He hits a knee lift on Rhodes. Knee drop on DiBiase. HHH throws Rhodes into DiBiase. HHH with a spinebuster on Rhodes onto a chair. He goes to pedigree Rhodes on a chair but DiBiase makes the save. HBK is back up now and attacks DiBiase. He throws him out of the ring. A ref comes down and tries locking the cage door shut again. HHH grabs the chain from him and wraps it around his wrist. The door isn't shut or locked. He blasts DiBiase with the chain. HHH pedigrees DiBiase on the floor. HBK pulls DiBiase out of the ring. He and HHH walk inside the cell and lock the door shut. Now they're in the cage with Rhodes by himself, while DiBiase is locked out of the cell. The bolt cutters HHH brought with him to get in the first time, are locked inside the cell as well. D-X approaches Rhodes in the ring and puts a chair around his neck unfolded. HBK comes off the top onto the chair on Rhodes. HHH stops HBK from going for Sweet Chin Music. He goes under the ring and pulls out a sledgehammer. HBK hits Sweet Chin Music at the same exact time HHH hits Rhodes with the sledgehammer. HBK pins him and D-X gets the win.
Winners: D-Generation X

| I was at Hell in a Cell on Sunday night! It was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I had floor seats and a few times I was so close to touching DX. One of the greatest parts was when Orton flipped a few of us off when the cameras weren't on him. I couldn't stop laughing! Only thing I didn't like was that I completely missed Matt Hardy in the preshow. He should have been in a regular match. | |
