Report: HBK & Triple H Unpopular In The WWE Locker Room

Among some locker room circles, both Triple H and Shawn Michaels are two of the least popular wrestlers these days. Even those who appear on SmackDown and have minimal exposure to them feel as though they are abusing their power and standing in the way of WWE elevating new stars.

The overwhelming sentiment among those in the company is that Raw's "no man's land" in the sense there are no full-fledged pushes to be had as a result of the strong influence of Hunter and Michaels, as well as Randy Orton and John Cena. Many feel if even one of these main event performers dislikes you enough to badmouth you to management, you won't be getting a push.

yeah, thats why everyone likes being on Smackdown because it has the best environment. doesnt need star power to have a positive attitude backstage every night when you go to work. why do you think the ECW tapings are the same day as SD again...the atmosphere is a hell of a lot more positive then Raws

exactly..nothing. SD doesnt have the guys who refuse to put ppl over like they do on Raw. the only reason why ppl like Mickie etc bitch when they go there because theyre afraid to lose their spot that they had on Raw

HBK especailly, there was a time when HBK and Masters where somewhat feudin, that could have been a good way to put Masters over, instead he gets buried and that was his highlight

At least TAKER puts people over, thats what I like about him. HBK does too but when he's with HHH, He clearly is influenced. That's just how I see it sometimes though.

Taker didnt want HHH on Smackdown, there was a rumor it was gonna cause tension i guess because Taker knew HHH would be beating everyone there

HBK doesnt put ppl over. i cant think of a single time where he has cleanly put someone over
like in that submission match at Breakin Point. Micheals need to have BOTH of the applying a submission before him he HAD to tap out, not just one but both. that way he loses but HE doesnt look weak, in turn not putting over Priceless

I'm having a time thinking of who HBK put over to lol, I take that back lol. The only person I can think of is Cena but Cena was already in the Main Event

I think those Legacy kids are really benefitting from working with DX. I mean, what the hell were they doing before then other then getting their asses kicked for Orton? Just because a person doesn't win the match doesn't mean they aren't "elevated to the next level". It's all about how they are booked.

Agreed Sarcy but it sure took Legacy a long ass time to be elevated... They should have been booked like this from the get go.

but in what 3 years or so, they are the ONLY two been put in the spotlight, whilst the rest of the ME consisted of either DX, Cena, Orton, Batista or Jericho

Well, at the same time not a lot of "nobodies" benefit from that booking the IWC thinks will automatically get them over. Just because you pin a big deal doesn't mean you are one or you automatically become one.

It took Legacy a while because DX took them lightly. Slowly Legacy proved that they weren't push overs like DX wanted them to be. If you actually watched the matches they have had, Rhodes and Teddy Jr. were allowed to do more damage.

That is very true. Both in Hell IN a Cell as well as the PPV before that, Legacy have been coming out looking stronger then ever

How the fuck is DX not putting people over? It is because of DX, that Legacy is even recieving a reaction from the fans these days, and is a credible tag team. I mean, Legacy beat them in a submission match...Theres nothing more humiliating than that. So what if there were two people applying the hold? It takes the great submissionists to make HBK tap, so for two people (Cody especially) to make him tap, its a big thing. HBK always puts people over...He hasn't had a world title run in like 6 years.
HBK put Jericho over as a massive heel last year
He put Randy over in their fued as well
He put Legacy over this year

Even Triple H has been putting people over lately. When was the last time you saw Cena, Orton or Batista lose cleanly to not a main eventer?

Point taken. Cena and Shitista can learn a thing or two, that is for sure

im sorry to disagree on the HHH front. but losing cleanly to three already established main eventers isnt exactly hurting HHHs character non, i dont see that as truly putting them over, as they already where.
the one exception would be Batista at WM, as he only truly became the ME then, but even with that he was a big star beacuse of Evoloution, and HHH bums off the guy cos he has huge muscles.
it took Orton forever to win cleanly to HHH, and when that happened he was a Main eventer anyway.
PPL could argue that he put Jeff Hardy over, in which he did,but even that took him ages to do so, as they where planning on putting him over to ME months before HHH put his ego aside

tbh though when its all said and done it dont matter at all if ppl backstage dont like HHH and HBK *HHH esp* cos as soon as Vince retires HHHs bo will be taking over, and until the dude chokes on roids, he will be a 30 time world champ, winning his last title at a gold old age of 60.

Triple H doesn't elevate any more people on Raw then it needs to be. Raw is where the "big boys play". Outside of a few people, ALL of the people who get a real reaction weekly are on Raw. Cena, Orton, DX, Big Show (& Jericho because of the tag titles), Mark Henry, Hornswoggle, Evan Bourne, the Miz, MVP, Legacy, and Kofi. Triple H and HBK, imo, are the measuring stick if the guy is in the main event or not. So, if you are having matches with them, you're obviously in the main event. Cena, Orton, Legacy, Big Show & Jericho. That is eight people in the main event. Pretty damn good considering they still have talent for a mid card. Hell, would you prefer it be like SD where they put two people who haven't even been around to change their tights are pushed before people even know who the hell they are?

What? Raw can't have a freaking main event and mid-card? EVERY person you like HAS to be in the main event? Not everyone is "top of the card" material, even if you like the guy.

I get your point but I think we are talking about the main event putting the up and comers over. The only exceptions at this time seem to be Legacy and that took them months to do.

And it took HBK and HHH years to become main event players. HBK and HHH came in the WWF with prior wrestling experience just like a lot of these IWC favorites that are being "buried" because they aren't being pushed right off the back. HBK & HHH worked their way from jobber to mid-card jobber to mid-card title holder to main event. Again, YEARS to do it. Cena and Orton weren't the American hero and asshole you see today.. They were treated like two rookies in 2002. And look at them now..

Hell, every character that has every gotten over in the WWE/F was a matter of waiting. Even Taker, who came in as a big deal cuz he was scary and shit, didn't get a title shot until a year later. Why was that? Some blame Hogan. Some have other reasons.. But ultimately, who really would've give a shit if someone won the title without a reason? "Taker looks scary." Big deal there have been plenty of ugly big men in wrestling. "Taker literally buries people and comes back from the dead." Oh shit!

They have tried pushing people before they were ready in the past few years with Carlito, Shelton, and Masters.. But look were that got them. All three proved you just can't have mic skills, in ring skills or presence from steriods to be considered a big deal. Now, they are stuck in mid-card hell because when they did get their shot, they didn't take that ball and run with it/no one gave a damn. Even worst, people think they are being "misused" because of said earlier pushes.

However, the IWC lacks a few things (I include myself in saying this): brains, patience, and common sense. That's why they will ALWAYS rely on complaining, bitching, moaning...you get the point.

In other words, you're talking and no one's listening. Well, they're not. But for the ones that actually DO have a brain, your words make sense, and I personally thank you for telling it like it is.

In the case with HHH, when he got into the WWE he got an instant push in the midcard with the "Hunter Hearst Helmsley" gimmick and was booked to win KOR 96 less than a year later until the MSG incident and even then it took him not even a full year after that to form DX with HBK and Chyna then only less than two years after that became WWE Champion. It took HBK NINE YEARS from his arrival in 88 to 96 once proving his mettle with IC and Tag Team Title runs did he win the WWE Title for the first time. HHH had the benefit of coming in when there was a...."KLIQ" established he could get right into to get him a nice boast up.

he won LATER in 97 but he was supposed to win in 96 but because of the Curtain Call incident he was booked as a jobber and was subsequently replaced by Stone Cold who went on down his legendary path thanks to it
