Why Kofi Dropped His Jamaican Accent

I dont know why they paid such attention to him losing his accent. I think HHH actually said, "hey, wheres your accent?"
If it were me I'd slowly loss the accent over a few weeks, phase it out.
It seems like Kofi is some weirdo Jamaicanwannabe now, and he just got caught.

oh well...as long as he keeps the dreads and facial hair, it's cool.

His character has a better chance to develop now without the accent and him being the quiet type. Because, I started watching again toward the end of the summer in 08 and I hadn't heard him talk til like... right before the MITB match on MVP's VIP Show featured on ECW. But now he has a better chance to be an individual superstar instead of just another hidden wrestler.

I can better respect his character now he is without the typical WWE ignorant stereotype crap; anxious to see where he goes now...

Well if hes feuding the Orton hes doing alright, thats for sure. I think its a bit too soon personally, but good for him.

I love Kofi! With or without the accent. When HHH said that on Raw that was hilarious. And if he feuds with Randy, im not ready to see Randy get all psycho on him. lol

They go a little far sometimes when it comes to the character, expecially when they have the superstars act there character in personal interviews & such.

I think they also said Amy was from north carolina at one point, when she's from atlanta.

Yeah I think he just sounds so wierd without the accent or maybe it's just me because I'm used to it but I think as someone else said they should've just let him slowly lose it and they didn't have to point it out either.

it's not just you....he sounds a little odd to me as well.

I dont mind it being gone but, to me, it made him stand out...like UK wrestlers and their accents.

I'm gonna miss his accent, but his new edge could somewhat make up for it. I was GONE during his promo with Orton on Raw this week. I was like...HOT DAMN!! I didn't know he had it in him!
