The 4th Anniversary Celebration for SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES is now completely SOLD OUT.

For ticket holders, the event is this Sunday, November 8th 2009, at the Berwyn Eagles Club, 6309 26th Street, in Berwyn, IL. Bell time is 2pm. Doors open at 1pm. Volumes 27 and 28 of the SHIMMER DVD series will be filmed during the course of the event.

The post-show afterparty is open to all, and begins immediately after the tapings in Berwyn conclude (approximately 8:30pm). The afterparty is at 39TEN Lounge, 3910 S. Harlem Avenue, in Lyons, IL. The afterparty is open to all ages until midnight. After midnight, it is 21 and over.

39TEN is just 2.3 miles from the Berwyn Eagles Club. For out of the area fans who are used to heading to our previous afterparty location, to get to 39TEN, all you have to do is head a bit further west down Ogden Avenue, make a left on Harlem Avenue, and you're there!

39TEN is very close to several local motels, including the Presidential Inn (3922 S. Harlem Avenue in Lyons, IL), which is literally next door to 39TEN, for those who don't want to drive to a motel from the afterparty. It is only 2.1 miles from the Rodeway Inn in Lyons.

39TEN will be fully staffed for the post-SHIMMER festivities, with a full liquor bar, as well as food prepared by Fabulous Freddies Italian Eatery, which is attached to 39TEN. You can view their menu at http://www.freddieson31st.com/ (their main location is in Chicago).

DANGER'S DENTAL PROJECT

In the October 2009 issue of Popular Science, there was a study called the "Global Affordability of Fluoride Toothpaste" (Globalization and Health, June 2008). The study found that tooth decay is the world's most common noncommunicable disease and points out that "cavity-related childhood malnutrition and infection can impair mental and physical development". The article goes on to explain how this affects the world but I began to wonder what I could do to help closer to home. Many people may not realize but I come from a dental background. I feel very passionately about helping the underprivileged find and receive adequate dental care. And here is where you guys come in.

At the November 8th SHIMMER show in Berwyn, IL. I will be collecting any donations fans can bring. Brand new toothbrushes for adults and children, unopened packages of toothpaste, floss, etc. Anything you can donate to help. Once collected, we will be donating them to a local organization who will distribute them to those in need. If this project is successful then I hope to be able to continue this practice on as many shows in 2010 that will let me.

I'd totally buy a t-shirt

Id LOVE to see Shimmer live. I live in a place that never gets wrestling shows (besides local guys), so I'd have to travel if I wanted to see anything, and I think I'd try to see Shimmer if I could see anything. Or maybe TNA or ROH.

WWE comes here once every other year or so but i dont wannt see Cena or Boretista. cause at a live show i cant mute them or turn the channle when they arrive lol


seeing SHIMMER live would be good...or even TNA for me.

TNA comes up north but not as far as my city, sadly.

TNAs never come to MD, while WWE makes it a point to come at least twice a year. ROH comes here, but in a small town

Well WWE comes to this province maybe once every 10 years for a house show, that's it. I missed the last one, and the one before that I saw Bret and Owen Hart beat Stone Cold and the Patriot
ROH and TNA wouldnt come this far away

TNA should try...they went overseas and did a tour in germany for crying out loud.
