1948 - Danny McShane defeats Antonino Rocca for the NWA Texas Heavyweight Title in Houston, Texas, starting his second reign.

1951 - Jimmy Coffield defeats Dennis Clary for the NWA Heart Of America Heavyweight Title (later known as the Central States Title) in Kansas City, Missouri.

1965 - Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon defeats The Crusher in Denver, Colorado to win the AWA World Heavyweight Title for the fourth time.

1966 - Dick The Bruiser defeats Mad Dog Vachon for the AWA World Heavyweight Title in Omaha, Nebraska, exactly one year after Vachon won it from Bruiser's tag team partner, The Crusher.

1979 - Billy Robinson defeats Super Destroyer Mark II (Sgt. Slaugher) to win the AWA British Empire Heavyweight Title in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This marked Robinson's third time winning the title.

1982 - Danny Davis defeats Bruce Hart for the Stampede British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Title in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, ending Hart's second reign.

1993 - Professional wrestling's Ken Shamrock competes on the first ever Ultimate Fighting Championship show in Denver, Colorado. He defeats Patrick Smith in the first round of a tournament, before losing to Royce Gracie (the eventual winner of the tournament) in the semifinals.

2001 - Matt & Jeff Hardy defeat Booker T & Test for the WWF World Tag Team Title in Boston, Massachusetts to start their fifth WWF tag title reign. It would be over five years before the Hardys would win a tag title together again. On the same show, Edge defeats Kurt Angle for the WCW United States Title. Edge would be the last U.S. Champion until WWE revives the title in 2003.

2003 - TNA holds their weekly Pay-per-view in Nashville, Tennessee at the Nashville Fairgrounds. The show was headlined by the return to the ring of Lex Luger, in his first match since being arrested in May of 2003 for possession of steroids following a police search of his residence after "Miss" Elizabeth Heulette died at Luger's home. Reportedly, Luger was put on the show at the insistence of long time friend Sting. Here are the results from the show:
- Ron Killings won a Gauntlet match.
- Christopher Daniels defeated Low Ki.
- Sonjay Dutt defeated Chad Collyer.
- Abyss defeated Don Harris.
- Kevin Northcutt & Ryan Wilson defeated Raven & The Sandman.
- Sting & AJ Styles defeated Lex Luger & Jeff Jarrett when Styles pinned Luger after Sting hit Luger three times with a baseball bat as Luger had Styles in a Torture Rack.

2006 - During the first set of Wrestling Society X tapings in Los Angeles
, California, Vampiro defeats Sean Waltman (6 Pac) to become the first WSX Champion.
