reason behind the Piggy james segment

"Last night’s segment which saw Mickie James as the subject of ‘fat’ jokes was reportedly to send a message to the former Women’s & Divas Champion, says PWInsider.

As previously reported during the Diva Trade, WWE has not been happy with Mickie’s weight and this was one of the reasons for last night’s segment.

The other reason for the segment has to do with the Diva’s outside endeavors including studying for a degree and pursuing a country music career; Mike Johnson reports there is some unease among WWE management that Mickie is putting herself before her WWE commitments and expect her to put the company first. There is supposedly a belief that like The Rock and Stacy Keibler, James may endeavor outside the company and find fame in other areas where WWE cannot control her.

The general feeling is the segment wasn’t used to gain heel heat for Michelle McCool but rather send a message to James.

As I wrote in yesterday’s Redux, there was no way that this segment was scripted solely to push a storyline. It’s an extremely touchy subject and this is WWE after all, they wouldn’t script something like this without an ulterior motive. Pathetic."

DAMN! That's fucked up!!! when I saw it, I thought it was going to far, I wasn't entertained by Michelle's segment at all, and I've never had a problem with Mickie's body (not that it matters) I think she's thick in all the right places, but I guess Vince likes em' anorexic. Mickie was once skinny but it didn't look that good on her.

For all we know Mickie could be very comfortable in her skin, she knows she is smoking hot, so having someone call her a pig may not have actually upset her...firstly she knows its storyline and secondly, she may not care that they thik she is bigger then she should be, as mentioned, she may like the way she is

She obviously does like the way she is or she would've lost weight by now. The most important thing is how YOU feel so if she likes being a little overweight then good for her. And no, in the real world she's not considered overweight, I'm just talking about in the WWE.

Personally, I'd like to see her retire. She's regressed in the ring and it does seem like she's lost her passion, maybe it's time for her to leave and have her music career.

I think Beth will be the one to take the belt from Michelle. They've got to be building her up for some reason and I doubt it's for her to go through Mickie again. She'll most likely be feuding with Michelle next

Wow, I didn't know that the chicks from Mean Girls were the ones running the WWE; at moments like this and when they do a Fat Vicki segment, I just want to bitchslap Vince and Co. before telling them to grow the fuck up.

Why does she still work for those pricks? I know it's all a storyline & what not, but for them to pick that shit because of a real situation when they could solve it in a mature way instead of humiliating her, is so screwed up. It's funny how they will make that big of a deal over someone's weight, when they're wrestling skills may be at least OK, which more I can say for their favorite bitch, Kelly Kelly. She's just such a good wrestler......

I think women need to stop trying to get as skinny as possible to compete with other women cause most men don't like women with no ass or hips.

I'm with ssilva on this, I said it before and I'll say it agin. Mickie James will end her career in TNA. Sure when she retires, she'll do her country music stuff but once that fails, come on, most of us knows that she will fail. She will jump ship to TNA like Victoria did. She was a original KO too, TNA would take her in a heartbeat

i hope mickie leaves WWE and goes over too TNA where they really dont care about weight and they care alittle bit more on talent but they do have some girls oveer there that are just eye candy.
