WWE Reportedly “Giving Up” On Dolph Ziggler

For those keeping track, Dolph Ziggler has taken part in twenty-six Intercontinental title matches at various events (televised and non-televised) within the past few months, losing all but two. He won one match via count-out with another match being ruled a double count-out. Furthermore, he has come up short in retrieving the title on television on seven different occasions including Night of Champions, SummerSlam, Hell in the Cell and four separate episodes of Friday Night SmackDown.

Ziggler was at one point scheduled to win the title from Rey Mysterio over the summer, but the high-flying Superstar vetoed dropping the title to him on more than one occasion. When push came to shove as a result of a 30-day suspension for violating the company’s drug testing policy in early September, Mysterio agreed to drop the title to John Morrison.

Now it appears that the ship has sailed on Ziggler nabbing the gold as WWE officials have reportedly “given up on him.”

On a related noted, Ziggler was voted the “Most Deserving of a Title Shot” among his peers in the “Superstar Survey” taken for the latest issue of WWE Magazine.

Yeah, he got himself suspended like an ass; however, it wasn't his first option to give the title to Morrison - obviously management didn't want Ziggler to win the belt...

Btw, lmao you're right, D... funny how he gets caught for uses the roids then gets suspended, then reinjures the same body part that he was trying to avoid from getting injured.

see NCD? Rey is the one who denied the idea of dropping the belt to Ziggler.

I blame Rey too.

Ziggler needs that belt more than Morrison does and the rub he'd have gotten from pinning Mysterio wouldve been awesome in helping him get over some more.

Mysterio openly bitched because management wanted him to drop the title to Ziggler

Morrison is more over and a bigger name then Ziggler, so him losing it to Morrison wouldnt be as unbelieveable...i stand by my post :P

Wow. Poor Ziggler. He is okay, hopefully he will get another chance at the title.

I want Morrison to have a long title run though then drop it and move on to the WHC.

I wouldnt mind seeing Drew McIntyre get it. I like him.

I agree with Vix. What Morrison needs is a good feud, not a championship - and imo, his feud with Ziggler is meh.

tbh i think it is as well. cos its all the same thing, its not really a feud more of Ziggler having a gazzillion title loses.

tbh i think Drew may be next in line for the title. and i wouldnt mind it either. if Sheamus is getting a world title shot, then i think it would be quite ironic if Drew managed to get himself a shot.

although i am actually thinking for some strange reason Drew may have some random title match tonight, and win it

Sheamus is only in the WWE title picture because all of the main eventers are already in feuds

erg i really hope not. the best way to build ppl up, is to have the beat ppl bigger then finlay, or at least facing them, im sure Sheamus v Cena will help his career out a lot more then Drew v Finlay will help Drew

Mysterio is an all time great. Revolutinized the industry. Ziggler was getting buried on Raw long before this and they chose to push Morrison over him, no matter what.

Morrison is ALL flash and zero substance. He's horrible on the mic as well. Then again, so is Ziggler. Ziggler is jobbing right now, but if things go correctly, Morrison will join the jobber pool.

He has really brought nothing new to the table.

I agree with you about Morrison's mic skills, they are raw; but, as for his in-ring ability... the fans like to see him doing springboard moves and aerial attacks. I believe he has to add more his in-ring technique and vastly impove on his mic skills before he becomes the "next big thing" as so many people project him to be.

Morrison is nowhere near as over he should be considering how hard he's been pushed since 2006. It's pretty damn embarassing. Yeah..I heard about him getting booed against Matt Hardy in that houseshow last week overseas.

yeah, the overseas fans are a bit weird. they cheer the wrong ppl and boo the wrong ppl. still, without proof, how can we take Morrison being booed to high hell seriously
