Anyone know if WWE had any plans for a second title in late 2002?

The Smackdown girls from yesteryear deserved something to fight over Teary Eyed

nope, the Womens title wasnt brand exclusive back then for the most part. and all the divas were on Raw except like 3, so what woulda been the point

Well all I know was that supposedly the WWE Divas championship was originally created for Torrie Wilson to hold since she was on Smackdown most of her WWE career and the Women's title was exclusive only to Raw but since she got injured they gave it to Michelle McCool instead. I don't know how true that is but this is only what I've heard

quisee you may wanna think of using a different font, its pretty difficult to read

and yeah Torrie was due to get it, but she was injured, and at the time Michelle was the most credible face behind her, as i doubt they woulda gave it to a heel for the first reign

I never heard of anything like that but the diva's title could have came in 2006-7 so that Torrie and Victoria could have won it before McCool.

the Womens title was a Raw/SD title for a few months, then as i said before..most of the divas on SD turned out to be managers. so there was no point in defending the title on that show

i think they should've held off the arrival of the divas championship for another month or so!

then the first champions could've been the first ever twins to hold a singles women's title! dual champions! <3

they would be fighting champions, and take turns in their title defenses! smile

then when the twins moved to raw in the 2009 draft, they could've won the women's title, and been the first divas to hold both titles...and at the same time!

then brie could've taken the divas title while nikki grabbed the womens title!
