Passion Diminished? Empty
PostSubject: Passion Diminished?   Passion Diminished? EmptyWed 02 Dec 2009, 8:40 pm

As of late, it's been pretty easy to pinpoint what girls have seemingly just stopped giving a crap about their matches.. Who do you think has or has not, and why?

Alicia Fox: I think she's still showing promise. While her feuds are very short lived, it does seem like she's trying to do everything within her power to have a good match. Feels like she tries to the best of her ability regardless. It may not come off well, but I think the effort is there.

Bellas: Nothing but eye candy at the moment but when they get in the ring, these girls are honestly not bad. I like them.

Beth Phoenix: Feels like Phoenix always gives 100%. Maybe it's because she's semi coddled by the company, but I've always gotten that vibe from her since her early days where she wasn't a great worker. I think she's one of the few that genuinely loves wrestling over the entertainment aspect.

Eve: She's definitely made progress and I can give her a lot of credit for that alone. Working with Nattie showed me that she's another one who's pretty passionate about wrestling and in spite of some sub par performances, she's trying.

Gail: I feel like Gail hasn't had the proper chance to shine since her brief debut on SD. I think she goes 100% in all of her matches, and that's what keeps her going. But I think whereas her passion is very strong, the company's faith in her isn't for whatever reasons. I don't think they've booked her properly to showcase her strengths, and that's a sad thing.

Jillian: As soon as she got put into this singing gimmick, things have slowly gone downhill. Maybe she's happy with it and doesn't put near as much focus into wrestling as she did back when she was working over on SD and her early Raw days. Hell, maybe she knows she'll never get a credible push, so why bother? Whatever the reason, her passion has clearly diminished to me.

Katie Lea: Hasn't had much of a chance to show her fire. She loses almost every single match she participates in. Her brief feud with Mickie was nice enough I thought, but it was half assed in terms of building Katie up. I don't think she's had enough of a push to really show whether she has, or has not. But in her few matches, she does seem to try and work in the psychology and toss in new moves here and there. Ones that should draw heat, if the crowd had a reason to put heat on her.

Kelly: Always sat at mediocre. Seems like once upon a time, she was enjoying wrestling. Now, she's just in that same stagnant area. Same place she has been for about 2 years now and will probably never leave.

Layla: I think Layla has a strong passion for wrestling. Her matches don't come off that great but she's constantly picking up on new things and trying new things out, so that tells me she wants to improve and go somewhere with her career.

Maria: Coasting along. Not a total embarrassment but should be better then she is.

Maryse: Picked up on things down in developmental, created a nice persona for herself early on SD. I dunno, has amazing charisma which sets her apart from the rest.

Melina: I think the passion is still pretty strong in Melina, but she's lost some of her fire when the company took away what made her Melina. The fiery bitch who'll rip your eyes out if you look at her the wrong way, the babyface we saw after her feud with Beth was perfection. Then she became another bland-o face. You get a little of that super intensity from her(like this past week on Raw), but I think until they turn her heel again, we won't see what made Melina such a great character in the past.

Michelle McCool: On top, works hard. Definitely in the right position and the passion is strong.

Mickie James: Passion's gone down the shitter. I think it goes up and down depending on how badly her matches start to get and having a fire under her ass from the agents and Vince is part of why she picks up the pace. It's sad to compare old matches of hers versus some of the more recent ones. If she's got a strong opponent, she looks good. If she doesn't, she sucks point blank.

Natalya: Same as Gail. Puts everything she can into matches, but doesn't get the push she ought to have.

Rosa: has great mic skills I guess?

Alicia-Has it
Beth-Has it
Bellas-Just Eye Candy
Eve-Has it
Gail-Has it-just needs to be pushed
Jillian-Not there anymore-Maybe if she was taken more seriously she will get it back.
Katie-Has it
Kelly-I think she has it but she could be doing a little better.
Layla-Has it, shes really improved in everything.
Maria-I dunno, shes improved some but she should be doing a lot better. I think her passion is what shes wearing to the ring insted.
Maryse-I think she has it, her charisma is good but she needs to work on wrestling more.
Melina-She defo has it. She works hard imo. Her passion shows when shes in that ring.
Michelle-Has it, I dont like her but I can tell she loves the bussiness. I just dont like how shes constantly pushed since 2007 and she still isnt getting herself over. I thought she get some kind of reaction for being pushed that long.
Mickie-I think she still has it. She has more to give. Shes contributed a lot. Yeah she isnt as good as she used to be.
Nattie-Has it just needs that push
Rosa-I dont think she has it, her character on ECW is rather annoying.
Tiffany-Eye Candy, Im sure she loves the bussiness but she hasnt shown me nothing.

Yeah, I'd go with Jillian and Mickie as well though Jillian wasn't bad this past week on Raw but Mickie has been bad for awhile which is sad since you see girls like Alicia stepping it up big time.

Alicia Fox: I think she looks really weird when she is wrestling. I always think she's about to be literally snapped in half everyone move she makes/takes.

Bellas: I agree, they aren't bad in the ring. In fact, I would put them higher then Kelly because their jumping snapmare's and dropkicks look natural. I think their problem is that they don't wrestle enough. So, it's hard to make an accurate assessment about them to me.

Beth Phoenix: At this point.. I think Beth Phoenix is a lost clause. Everyone wants her to be "used" better, but she never gets a reaction. They had her destroy Candice and she got no reaction. They had her go after Mickie and she got no reaction. They paired her with Santino and hopes of letting her get some rub and she got no reaction. Hell, she dissed Canadia and didn't get booed until she touched Trish. She's good at delivering moves, but really don't think she has the "it" factor that a lot of big names in wrestling has.

Eve: I admit she's picked up a lot better then her DS counterparts.. But outside of doing backflips, I haven't seen anything good from her yet. Still can't strike to save her fucking life.

Gail: At least she gives a 100%?

Jillian: I never got the big deal about her wrestling. She's been a whole lotta clumsy lately, though.

Katie Lea: They doomed her from the start. I mean a fued with Mickie as your first "big" fued? On the bright side, the Bellas got the crowd into the matches they had with Katie.

Kelly: I don't think she's plateu'd yet. I just don't think she has the confidence to do anything new. Pro wrestling isn't about doing the most, it's about getting the most out of what you do. Kelly gets the crowds into her matches.. But a sack of potatoes has more personalilty.

Layla: I've always thought Layla wasn't made for wrestling, but she was made for entertaining. She knows that it's part of the job and she's doing the best she can. She doesn't have the atheletic ability like a lot of other girls, but damn. She GETS ring psychology. She GETS mannerism. She's like the only chick on SD that gets them. She also hits really hard. lol

Maria: I don't think Maria is neccessarily coasting along.. I think do think she's come to terms that's she isn't a good wrestler. So, she's doing what works. She gets the crowd into the match because she's VERY likeable to those who actually like her.

Maryse: She is 90% charisma, 10% in ring work. I said I think Layla wants to entertain more then actually wrestle, Maryse striked me like that for a while. Then all of the sudden she got good. Now, I think she wants to find that balance. It just sucks that she has knee problems so early in her career.

Melina: Melina does have the most passion. However, I just can't get into her matches. She's fumbling and tumbling around doing a bunch of moves with a high "easily botched!" possiblity and they usually are. Maybe if she slowed down her moves instead of going MOVE TO MOVE TO MOVE, then maybe people can get into her matches.

Michelle McCool: She's more of a Indy-style wrestler. She can do fancy moves. That's it. No selling. No natural personality.

Mickie James: I think she's a spoiled brat. I really, REALLY do. If the match is bad, she has no problem showing her fraustration. If the match is good, she's all smiles. Oh, but we are suppose to forget if any Diva has totally just STOPPED in progression, it's her.

Natalya: Still waiting for a legit reason why lil Bobby should think of Natalya as something besides "Blond who wears pink and has bad matches and shouldn't talk." But at least she hasn't stopped caring about her performances...Yet?

Rosa: I mos def Rosa has the passion for pro wrestling. But having all the passion in the world doesn't mean you should be a pro wrestler. She has charisma and mic skills. I am happy they found a MUCH better role for her as Ryder's Guidoette? They are damn funny together.

Okay, missed the point of the thread. But time killers arefun (b")b
