Breaking News: Former WWE Superstar Umaga Passes Away?

Former WWE star Umaga hospitalized Edward Fatu, 36, is hospitalized in Houston and in what was described as life threatening condition by a long-time friend.

Details are sketchy at this point but he apparently fell asleep last night while watching television, and several hours later, his wife found him not breathing with blood coming out of his nose and he was rushed to the hospital.

UPDATE: According to a report by www.PWTorch.com, Umaga is rumored to be passed away. We will have an update on this breaking story as soon as more details surface.

Aw, man! This is crazy...I hope he's alright but if he's gone, god bless him. He'll be missed; thoughts go out to his family.

Reports are coming in that Edward "Umaga" Fatu was pulled off life support minutes ago. His family has been told to come into town as quickly as possible. Family members have been told he suffered a heart attack.

Wrestling Observer and WWE just confirmed the passing. RIP. He was a great contributor to the business. He and his brother Rikishi. He's the Rock's cousin and it ends before he even reaches 40. Extremely sad. All of this before Christmas too. Tragic.

Did they ever confirm Andrew Martin's death? (Back when he passed obviously) "Test". I remember knowing about that right out of the blue, that was the only one that hit me, he was one of my favorites.

I think Test had an overdose or a bad mix of drugs.

This is very unfortunate; just came out of left field, crazy..you think it had something to do with his weight, kinda like Yoko?

his weight had nothing to do with blood coming out of his nose, Yoko was over 600 lbs...Umaga was a good bit over 300. major difference there

I love how on every forum I go to everyone says it is due to his weight. He was very healthy last time he wrestled which was during the Hulkamania Tour few days/weeks ago. It's a shame as he was thinking about coming to WWE in the future.

Dude noone is saying that, but people who have more weight (doesn't necessarily mean unhealthy) sport a higher chance of having a heart attack. It could be due to stress and blood pressure levels as well of course, but these all play a significant contribution I would say.

That never occoured to me when I read it. Maybe if they had put "after which he had successes on the independant scene, touring Austrailia alongside Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan and his final opponent, Mr. Kennedy." at the end would have made it sound better.

LMAO. Don't give Vince any ideas. He's distances himself as much as possible already. If a baby died in Vince's household he would put out a statement like:

"We extend condolences on the passing of our friends infant daughter that was under our care since Friday morning. The baby girl was cute, liked pink and enjoyed being tickled. However, we discovered that the had baby passed away on Sunday morning while sleeping in a crib. The child had not been held by anyone in our family since Saturday evening".

yeah, but the wrestlers pick and choose what to put into their systems. WWE cant be with everyone when they are at home with their families...and tbh...as ignorant as it is...they underlined it because they dont want to be blamed for yet ANOTHER death. they took a massive blow when steroids were found in Benoits house after he murdered his family and then killed himself

I don't blame you, E-Gore, but in their defense they were trying to be proactive and clear off media backlash on their company (AND the entire industry in advertently since they are viewed as the most prominent and thus are unfairly seen as the standard in the States) before it has even begun. Cold-hearted? Yes, it was. But that's the McMahons-no surprise there.
