CMLL (SUN) 12/06 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) El Divino & Thunder Boy b Katana & Titanio
2) Magnum & Saturno b In Memoria & Rey Trueno
3) Ángel del Mal b Palacio Negro [OCCIDENTE WELTER]
4) Mascarita Dorada & Pequeño Olímpico DQ Pequeño Damian 666 & Pierrothito
5) Gallo & Rouge b Arkangel de la Muerte & Nosferatu
6) Héctor Garza, Hijo del Fantasma, La Sombra b Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
Tecs took the first and were about to when the second when Niebla took off his mask and threw it to Garza. Referee saw Hector with it and called the DQ. Hector and Niebla ended up back in at the end of the third, this time with Hector taking Niebla’s mask and rolling him up for the win.
Gallo replaced Mictlan. Never did see results for Arena Aficion, don’t know if he turned up there, but he still hasn’t been spotted in a couple months (and it took about 6 weeks for anyone to notice.)
Minis match was an unadvertised surprise. DQ was Pierrothito fouling Dorada.
Angel del Mal retained his title in his first defense. He won the first and third.
WagnerMania naturally has quotes from other wrestlers about Dr. Wagner III, who looks to be a new regular for the Perros del Mal. By the way, I got the finish wrong last night – Groon did turn on Demon, but Perro attacked new doctor, and Demon managed to roll Perro up for the win. Despite the assist, it’s not clear if Wagner III (who they’re calling “El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.”, in full Rayman length) is totally allied with the tecnicos or rudos. He is a Wagner, after all, he’s only allied with himself.
Lucha Libre & Box in Zacatecas notes Mistico missed Thursday’s night show, and they were told it was due to injury, but of course Mistico still wrestled on Friday’s Arena Mexico show. He could’ve been too hurt to go on Thursday but better on Friday, or he could’ve really felt not up to working on either day but worked Friday because it was a major show, but it doesn’t really help Zacatecas either way.
Cronicas Y Leyendas chronicles the transition of Ultraman 2000 into a man who would wear horrible looking dotted Zubaz pants. (Also, hardcore wrestling.) They’ve also got articles on Canek beating Sunny War Cloud, Rene Guajardo and Ray Mendoza beating up Perro Sr. and Torinito about his career.
Dark Angel did not win the Freestyle Fitness competition, but did win the sports attire competition. Of course she did.
Kcidis illustrates Bushi losing his mask to Oficial 911
Box Y Lucha 2951 has bald Japanese men, if you’re in to that.
CMLL (MON) 12/07 Arena Puebla
1) Diamante, Leono, Tony Rivera vs Bronco, Dr. X, Loco Max
2) Amapola vs Marcela [CMLL WOMEN]
3) Máscara Dorada, Sagrado, Valiente vs Naito, Shigeo Okumura, Yujiro
4) Brazo de Plata, Héctor Garza, Strong Man vs Atlantis, Negro Casas, Último Guerrero
It’s about 7 hours before the show and CMLL still hasn’t put up the website. But this is what Box Y Lucha had last week (minus the challenger), and TodoPuebla has the same lineup for the top three.
CMLL (SUN) 12/13 Arena Mexico
1) Ángel Azteca Jr., Ángel de Oro, Ángel de Plata vs Bronco, Hooligan, Nitro
2) Fabián el Gitano, Metro, Rouge vs Euforia, Nosferatu, Skándalo
3) Fuego & Stuka Jr. vs Pólvora & Virus [Arena Coliseo TAG]
4) La Sombra, Shocker, Strong Man vs Terrible, Texano Jr., Vangelis
5) Místico vs Mephisto [MEX LH]
The rudo sides make a little more sense (though Skandalo still needs to trade spots with Bronco.) I’m just happy there’s an actual marketable main event for the fan appreciation show.
Mistico should get his title win the close out the year.
Interesting to see Polvora is ahead of Euforia on the Cancerbero depth chart. Or maybe Virus just thinks he’s the better compliment as a tag team. Leaning towards a title change there. Note that is nearly the one year anniversary of the last defense of this belt (12/13/08) – maybe an annual thing.
