when i was younger we'd be allowed to open 1 gift on Christmas Eve. we'd usually spend the whole day just watching Christmas movies. Also me and my siblings would read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" before bed.

aT mIDNIGHT we Were allowed to open one gift, then we'd go to sleep, wake up and open the rest, but now we usually just open them all at midnight, and clean up the mess in the morning lol.

Every year was different for us.
The one constant with every Christmas Eve and Christmas was as it approached I couldn't wait; but, once we got to that point... I was always severely disappointed. Not because of gifts or anything, it just isn't as glorious as it seems on tv and in the movies. I was like "Seriously, THIS is what Christmas is?"

Well usually christmas eve i'de be cleaning because my dad finally finished painting the house and well me and my mom would stay up till 3AM literally cleaning. Then the morning we would just prepare snacks and stuffs. Then in the afternoon we'd prepare for christmas dinner, which is held anually at our house since moving in.
My grandmother, aunt cousins and close famil friends would come for dinner.
Last year was great, i had both my grandmothers it was a once in a lifetime thing.
This year we had a "Noche Buena" with a group of friends. My first christmas away frome. Our first christmas dinner was at 1AM lol. Pretty epic but amazing. This christmas was fun and crazy, despite being away from my family.
