How Do We Get Jamie Noble OVER?

If you have seen Jamie (James Gibson) Noble in Ring of Honor, you know he is a great in ring worker who can be a great babyface who also connects with the fans.

But since he has arrived on Raw, he has been given a (short) program with Layla with numerous backstages promos and matches.

Creative then had Regal and Noble feud, which included Layla leaving Jamie for Regal.

The point is while I like the program with Regal it seems like Noble is no more over with the crowd than when he first appeared on Raw. Even the last couple of weeks when he tagged with Mickie, she overwhelmingly had more crowd appoval.

So the question is how does creative get Jamie Noble over? And maybe even an IC title run? (Maybe that's a bit much)

Noble is one of my all-time favorite wrestlers. Watch his work as James Gibson in ROH to see what I mean. (A country boy can survive indeed.)

He's also a great comedian. Look up those Michelle McCool segments on dailymotion or youtube, especially the bit where they go out to dinner.

I agree that the Regal angle was great fun. Regal and Noble are as good at technical wrestling as anyone in the 'E right now. It's too bad they only gave their matches a couple of minutes each time. We need to let people see that Noble can wrestle -- those Regal matches could have gone 10-15 minutes easily. That's the only thing I can figure.

Noble will always be handicapped for his size, and it may not be fixable because of the way Vince does business. But every time he's onscreen, his charisma and skills shine through a bit more. I am happy he gets to keep working at all.

LMAO! I always loved Jamie..... And that thing about him being small that Vince says is such bull because Rey Mysterio and Evan Bourne are small too and they getting pushes.

Good points about their sizes. I would counter them for two reasons:

1. Rey seems to have a magical mystique that protects him. The fans have always been crazy about his work, from little children up to adults. Vince couldn't remove him because they would riot.

2. Bourne is a high flyer, something Vince hasn't used a lot in recent years. He does a shooting star press, for gosh sake, a move Vince was rumored to have disallowed for a long time due to its dangerous nature. Plus he looks like a movie star, which helps a lot I think.

Noble is neither of these. He's a supersolid technical wrestler who has pretty much always been stuck with the back-country hick gimmick (even when it was respectable, like in ROH). People laugh at him, especially because he's so good at comedy.

Nobody laughs at Matt Sydal or Rey.

I don't think its possible to get Noble over anymore. Half the roster needs to be beaten the hell out of before they get over these days...

i am unsure how they are going to get him in the title picture...but if the dont there really isnt a point in him there,...they know he is great in the ring, but he is just too small and they already have someone small down our throats monsoir mysterio

he could look good on ecw because he could suit a ecw world title, i mean chavo got it and he aint that much bigger then jamie. plus jamie and henry have worked well in mtches and that would be an interesting feud...considering mark getting the title back of course

We will never get him 'OVER'. I don't dislike the guy, but I don't see the WWE EVER making him one of the 'top ranked superstars'. I think they use him for a bit until a storyline that he is in is dried up then forget about him. Nowadays with the WWE, you can't just be a good wrestler, you have to have it ALL! and Jamie doesn't have it all.

But he is friends with HHH and HBK, Surely they can influence Vince

Make him win agaist Vladmir Kozlov and Great Khali in a 2 on 1 handicap match

Never doubt Jamie Noble..... I think he can do it
