Diva Dirt has just received word that TNA Knockout, Alissa Flash — real name Melissa Anderson — has parted ways with TNA.

Anderson made her debut in January 2008 as Raisha Saeed, manager of Awesome Kong before debuting a second character, ‘The Future Legend’ Alissa Flash in July 2009. Saeed was written out in October last year and Anderson continued to compete as Flash until her departure.

During her time in the company, Alissa has competed in memorable matches with Sarita, Hamada, Awesome Kong and Tara.

True, WWE's focus is on models they can turn into wrestlers. WWE struck pay dirt with Trish who was a fitness model that they trained to be a wrestler, the difference between Trish and the Maxim rejects that the WWE hired is that Trish had natural charisma, learned how to wrestle, and had a roster full of talented women like Jazz and Molly Holly to help make her look like a million bucks in her matches against them. Now they have a roster full of models who they barely trained to be wrestlers and only 6 women who were in the wrestling business before signing with the WWE and of those 6, 3 are treated very well, 1 who has a great wrestling linage to go with her skills is nothing more than a glorified valet, 1 is a valet to a talented guy they continue to job, and the last is nothing more than a comedy jobber.

This a trulysad this in wrestling. TNA has lost the most valueable woman in wresting today.

Melissa Anderson is one of the best female wrestlers in the world today and it is sad TNA has let Hogan take this much control.

Much like ODB and Velvet Sky, Melissa has made multiple attempts to enter the WWE and WWE hasn't taken notice. She then pretty much gave up on WWE and focused on SHIMMER full time after her heat match with Victoria. The good thing is, she can now try to become SHIMMER CHAMPION.

Awesome Kong has expressed her feelings on working for the WWE, she is well aware on how they work with their women and she has expressed her feelings on not working for the WWE. So a run in the WWE is very unlikly for both. Awesome Kong might foucs on Japan again and head back there while Melissa could focus on SHIMMER and god forbid....Wrestlicious.

I doubt Awesome Kong would join WWE. She has been vocal on WWE and how she disagree on how they treat their women. And secondly it's kind of ironic signing her while their current main angle is picking on someones weight. Just saying lol.

While Melissa, WWE has had 5 years when she was REALLY interested in the company to sign her, i'm not saying she is not going to join them if they came knocking, but they never approached her then, doubt they will do so now.

Plus Kong joined TNA despite WWE having a more luxurious and Pricy offer on the table and she chose TNA where the money was obviously less.

Today’s edition of the Wrestling Globe Newsletter suggests that Awesome Kong has been unhappy in TNA for some time before the incident with Bubba the Love Sponge this past weekend. Mike Aldren reports:

Awesome Kong has requested her release following the events of this past week. She noted to friends that the altercation with Bubba the Love Sponge at Monday’s television taping was the straw that broke the camel’s back. She had been unhappy for some time. The company has not responded to her release request thus far and are hoping that she will change her mind. “Kong is really disappointed in the fact that this company that once had class has turned into a paranoid backstabbing contest because people in management are too worried about keeping their jobs to really voice their opinions or represent the talent appropriately,” said one source. “They sold all the talent that they were a team [before Hogan/Bischoff arrived]… but then moved forward without rewarding anyone, and benched half of the original roster on top of that.” Regarding the actual altercation, Kong admitted fault saying she had planned to give Bubba a piece of her mind due to his remarks on Haiti, but things quickly got out of hand. She cited lack of sleep, noting that she had spent her free time last weekend raising funds for the victims of the earthquake, and was also dealing with the loss of her mentor, wrestling promoter Ed Chuman. She said delirium took over and she ended up smacking Bubba instead of talking to him. One of Kong’s friends also noted to us that she is furious with Bubba for ripping her on Howard Stern, and for attempting to make an angle out of the situation on his own radio show. She is now back at home pondering her future. She was originally booked for the upcoming European tour but won’t be making those dates any more.

It’s been well noted here at Diva Dirt some of the disparaging comments that have been made about Kong by Bubba the Love Sponge and most recently, Hulk Hogan on Bubba’s radio show. I can’t imagine wanting to work for a company where it’s allowed to speak about a fellow employee like that, let alone a member of management getting in on the act, perpetuating the drama instead of dealing with it in private like professionals.

Melissa was with WWE for a night, and she was pretty damn good in that match, well with what little offense she was allowed to pull off, so why they wouldn't sign her, I'll never know, but anyway this shit is crazy, TNA IS CRUMBLING AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is so amusing to watch.

The difference is Kevin, back then Melissa was a nobody to them. Looking at her now, they truly know what shes capable of, and that she is recognized because of her run in TNA. Also for the fact that they could steal more stars from TNA.

so was Gail Kim...a TNA star (even former WWe women's champ) and WWE has done shit with her. It'd most likely be the same with Melissa.

But WWE didn't treat Gail any different in the beginning, the only difference was she was jobbing to Molly, Trish, Victoria and Lita, rather than Kelly, Maryse and Alicia.

but back then Gail Kim wasnt some big TNA star...WWE gave her the title after a botch live during the match and it worked out well.

Gail is even more popular now, having been in TNA and getting their division off the ground...yet WWE is treating her now like they should've during her first WWE run..as a nobody jobber.

And your still wrong, back then Melissa was the biggest female name out there, she was gaining respect from her peers and her fans. When she wrestled the heat match was a year after she won the Cauliflower Alley Club Future Legend Award. Cheerleader Melissa was at her prime back then and the most talked about woman in wrerstling. She finaled two ChickFight events (probably the biggest womens wrestling promotions back then), she had training sessions with Ivory, Molly and Jazz, and by 2006 when she wrestled with Victoria, she had the epic 26 minute falls count anywhere match against MsChiff and Main Evented Shimmer in another 20 Minute Last Woman Standing Match. How much of a somebody did she have to be for them to sign her? Her resume was impressive as it was there already.

Hell Melissa hasn't done much in TNA to said she was a "MAJOR" player in TNA, but she was clearly the best.
