Raw Predictions And Discussion

Last week Eve came out on top with an impressive submission move in a tag match. Semi finals SHOULD continue tonight. What are your predictions?

Like I said last week, I think it's pretty obvious Maryse and Gail will advance to the finals, looking forward to Alicia/Gail but Maryse/Eve will most likely be a train wreck.

Well seeing as Maryse has limited skills and Eve has decent skills I don't think it would be enough to carry Maryse through the match, so expect a lot of taunts, hair flips, submission holds on Maryse part. And I agree it's pretty obvious Maryse would win and so would Gail. I would be pleasantly surprised if Eve wins but very doubtful.

Also probably the typical match: Face diva gets an early start, Heel dominates the rest of the match, Face builds a comeback only to lose the match at the end.

Here is to hoping Eve doesn't miss-cue her drop kick again. Poor girl does something wrong and it's the end of the world for her on the internet lol.

my Prediction for raw tonight.

Kelly Kelly and Eve vs Jillian and Katie Lea.

I see the finals be on raw in two week.

That match wasn't as bad I don't think. Sure there were a few things wrong but everything else seem good in diva standards of coarse.

The Rumble will take about an hour.
Taker vs Midget will take about 15-20 min
Casper the Angry Bloke vs Orton will take about 15-20 min
Fat ass vs Bland ass will take about 5-10 min

Maybe they will throw in MVP vs The Miz. That will be abother 10-15 min.

Okay, we are at a little over 2 hours at minimum.

I really think they are going to end this at the PPV. I wonder if what match they will put in the infamous death spot. Maryse vs Gail has proven they can get the crowd going. While Michelle couldn't move a crowd if she started unloading shotgun shells.

I would LOVE for them to have both the women's title match and the finals of the Diva's title tournament but I doubt that. I am just grateful that the girls got on the card!

But I think that they should have Gail v Alicia tonight and Maryse v Eve on Superstars so if they f*ck up it can be edited..

Gail and Maryse should advance and Gail should win although Maryse winning is probably going to happen..

yup only about 2 hours...and as RRumble is normally 2 1/2 - 2 3/4hour thats a whole lot of segments to put into it...so who knows
although Takers entrance takes nearlly as long as a Rumble match...so that may solve it

I think they are going to have the finals next Monday or the Monday after.

For Raw tonight I think it will be either be Maryse v Eve with Maryse winning or Gail v Alicia with Gail winning and Maryse on commentary.

Maryse made me laugh tonight! Duke Hill messing up her promo was priceless! This crowd SUCKS! That divas match was surprisingly good. I expected a disaster between EVe and Maryse and they did really good! Eve was the MVP of this match! Moonsault? Ace! A beautiful moonsault at that! That senton move? I love it! For one brief moment I thought she was going to win when she got out the DDT the first time around. Kudos to WWE for making it somewhat unpredictable!

The DDT was brutal! Loved how she drilled her head onto the mat! Maryse didn't annoy me for once! FUCK THE CROWD DEAD!

Match was so slow paced in part of Maryse of coarse.

Moonsault was pretty awesome as was the DDT & Eve's selling of it ,

OMFG Maryse won! I would have never seen that coming! And she even got some mic time lol wow can that be less obvious -.-

The match was alright, better then what it could have been. Eve was the star imo. I loved her moonsault. She did a lot better tonight then last week. Props to her.

I loved it when Hill cut on the promo during Maryse's promo. That was funny. I wish he would have cut off the mic though. Thankfully Eve came.

WHAT IN THE FUCK. I'm seriously getting sick and tired of Maryse and her fucking one move of doom. Once again the face did all the work and Maryse does a kick and her stupid DDT? Why does this girl deserve to be in the finals or even deserve to be the next champ, because she's got a great character? Puhlease.

Eve did do pretty good in the match, just a shame she had to job to that piece of blonde crap.

Gail won but it was a good match. Very back and forth. I heard some pops for Gail.

That was a really good match, I would've rather seen that as the finals but now we're stuck with the piece of blonde crap. Poor Gail is gonna do all the work once again and lose. I guess I could hope WWE come to their senses and give Gail the belt because at least she has actual talent!

LOVED Alicia after the match, girl is so frickin awesome

Fuck Maryse, Alicia Fox for RAW's top female heel! She took the little screen time that she was given tonight and ran away with it putting herself over as a female heel to be reckoned with; not only that, she knows more that 1 wrestling move, that puts her miles ahead of Maryse. While her in-ring skills could still use some work, her match with Gail was solid and much better than the match we saw earlier. I did enjoy the interaction between her and Dule Hill and that slap was delivered and sold perfectly by the two.

I have to admit one thing though; when John Cena looked and Alicia and said she looked hot, I went "OMG, a thousand WWE fangirl marks are going to flood fanfic.net with Alicia/Cena stories."

What we need is a gif of that botch gail and alicia did LOL.

I see Maryse win the diva champion and have a long reign as diva champion.

I see a lot of tag matches to cover up our new diva's champion's inability to work a match by herself, I also see running around avoiding doing any real moves, a slap, a kick, more blah blah hand gestures, a few hair flips, and a lot "mistakes" by her opponents leading to her delivering her French Kiss DDTs to help win the match despite getting almost NO offense during that reign.

I liked both of the matches today and was happy with the ending.

At first I was like WTF are they really going to let Eve win because I almost clapped in shock with her northern lights suplex move? O_O
Of course she later got a great looking ddt done to her and predictably Maryse is in the finals. Maryse sure did good on the mic and was funny talking to Dule Hill in french..

As for Gail/Alicia. I was also glad that the match was pretty good. I knew Gail would win because of the results but Alicia did well. I loved the post match slap which got a lot of 'Ahhs' from my grandma and aunt.

Now for the finals. WWE give the damn belt to Gail and have Maryse chase her for it. Gail deserves to have the title for at least 4 months and then if they want they can give it to Maryse so she can be champ in time for Melina's return [to continue their feud..].

I guess next Monday would be when the tournament ends and a new champ is decided. I could also see them build it up more with a segment but then again they will probably just let Maryse talk before the match or afterwards if she wins.. which she better NOT!

After looking at the Eve match closely it irritates me that someone like Maryse who is nothing compared to all the talent most of the divas have in the wwe gets pushed so much. I didn't mind it as much before but come on this match proves how bad of a worker she is.

All Maryse did in this match was Slap, Forearm, Kick, DDT and she won the match.

While Eve did all the work. Forearms, Kick, Drop Kick, Hair Pull, Senton, Body Splash, Scoop Slam, Moonsault, Northern Lights Suplex... and gets pinned -.-

I would really like to know what the hell happened to the French TKO, her camel clutch, her face buster (like the Miz's), and even lately, her backbreaker. When she did all these moves in the match it was accepted, but doing none of these? Pathetic.

What happened to the Maryse that pulled off a great back and forth match with McCool? Its like as soon as she won the divas championship, she sucked.

Alicia impressed me again tonight....im starting to like her...mostly due to her having straighter hair this month please tell me shes sticking to that new years resoloution.

@ Pedro...i know it annoys the hell outta me too, Maryse is one of the worst wrestlers on the roster. She gets by on management aka Vince liking her aka her looks...and her "fantastic character", something i still find very overated. I did watch the match again...and to say all she did was a forarm, slap and kick before the DDT, your right thats all she did...and 3 of the 4 moves looked weak and unimpactful...she needs to work on looking a bit stronger in her strikes and kicks...the only move she is good at is her DDT

I dunno what everyones issue with Maryse is, she's like far from the worst wrestler on the roster. I actually enjoy her more then Eve, Layla, kelly and the Bella's.

And from all the reports i've been reading, Maryse vs.Eve was liked more then gail vs. Alicia, it's only the divas forums i've been reading otherwise.

I have yet to see the matches, but its funny, every other heel is booked to use 4/5 moves to "torture" their opponents, but because she isn't as strong as Michelle, beth, Natalya or Jillian to use more powermoves, especially on someone like Eve who is FAR bigger then her she gets shit on? I enjoy her work, it's far better then watching Alicia's in ability to control her body, Kelly's overuse of her Gymnastic background, or Layla overdoing on the acting.

Is she using her taunting to much? No, but it is for the short amount of time they get to work.

Her taunting, is a rest spot for her opponent so they could regain their strenght after taking a fall. That's 80% the case with taunting. Much like when the faces go wild trying to get the crowd in the match.

You guys could say what you want, Maryse is the best damn thing to come to wrestling since Trish Stratus, she gets it, the crowd connects with her, she knows what she's doing. She's entertaining, she's versitile and she's just Maryse. Plus she's canadian, and we all know Canada always produces the best of the best

It isn't about the fact that she isn't strong, it's about the fact that her opponent did at least 99% of the work last night; she got in virtually no real offense and still won anyway because a "mistake" by her opponents lead to her getting her DDT in and winning. This has happened in almost every one of her matches since she came back, if she were a man and her name was Cena, everyone would be calling for her head, but because she's hot; she gets a free pass. I'm not saying she should be busting out joshi moves, but if she's going to be booked to win; she should be doing more than 1 wrestling move.

Eve vs Maryse- It was ok, a bit boring however I didnt like how Eve controlled the match and Maryse just pinned Eve it would have been better if she done some more moves. Her promo was hilirouis

Gail Kim vs Alicia- I was quite annoyed at how long this match on for it could have been a good match, and they have had some good matches in the last few months however this one was awful, Alicia botched a headsisscors and Gail was ok. Alicia slapping that man was

uuuhhhh a chickin shit heel usually runs away everytime trouble come along, gets lucky because the face gets over confident and want to please the crowd and goes over board. Chicken shit heels aren't supposed to dominate matches, do a 100 moves in a match, all they do is get a few shots and gets lucky because the face messes up. That's how chicken shit heels were booked, is how Stephanie McMahon was booked and loads of chicken shit heels before them.

Agreed so much! I loved SD Maryse so much, I understood the praise she used to get because she was the hottest thing back then, now? not so much! :ewwa:

Even the most chicken of scared heel wrestlers manage to get more than 1 move in during their matches and Stephanie McMahon as the scared heel wrestler, was booked as an untrained scared heel going up against women who had years of experience over her, there's really no comparing the two.

Say whatever you want, i could say mickie, i could say Melina, i could say Beth, but unlike Trish they were all trained wrestlers before coming to the WWE.

Out of all the models that walked into the WWE, there has yet to be any of them to connect with the crowd on a whole other level. You act as if Trish was "Great", if i had to rank some of the best female grapplers of all time i doubt Trish would make my top 20 list, even doubt a top 25. Trish wasn't a great wrestler, she is a great entertainer and Maryse is pretty much going down that same route, Maryse is never going to be one of the best wrestlers in the world, doubtfull she's going to be good. But at the end of the day when it comes to entertainment, she's top notch.

She played the sexy hostes when welcoming the fans to SD, she's currently the ego driven vixen who thinks she's the best damn thing in the world, while in that idiotic turkey suit we saw a goofy side of Maryse, her vesitlity is visible and she could be used in diffrent ways.

Is she going going to be the wrestler Trish was? Doubtfull, although Trish wasn't no pro herself, but she possibly the entertainer Trish was, like it or not, if she received half of the attention Michelle was (who has been trying for years now), she'd outshine Michelle.
