Update: John Cena Undergoes an MRI Last Weekend

We previously reported that WWE decided to keep John Cena out of the main event at The Royal Rumble because he has been suffering from recent back pain. In an update to that report, The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter is reporting that Cena underwent an MRI last weekend which, at this point, seems to have indicated that he is suffering from a bulging disc. Therefore, WWE has decided to scale back on his in-ring work by having wrestle less time in matches and work tag matches as well so he can split the ring work with a partner. However, it should be noted that Cena has been working main event matches at house shows.

Aww that sucks. I hope he takes it easy. Poor John.

I hope he's in a less amount of matches as possible

I still think it's funny considering all the time he's gotten in the ring, even in his tag match with Kofi he was in there the majority of the time and he just had a match with Sheamus on Raw last week but meh, if there's something wrong with him then hopefully he gets better soon. Looking forward to seeing dumbfuck Triple H win the rumble for sure now...Cena was his only competition when it comes to power

almost reminds me of when Shawn Michaels' injury that took him out for over four years.....that's not good for dear John....

After reading it again I find the last sentence funny.

If he's that injured and they want to limit his time in matches then why is he doing main event matches at house shows?

I think WWE makes it clear they dont give a fuck about their guys' health unless 1) they cant make money 2)if that person dies
