Cody Rhodes Interview: Talks about Tna, SD, Shelton, Gail etc. .

I just saw this on my primary forum. They had no sources but I know it is real. I thought it was interesting:


Cody Rhodes did a chat today to hype Mania(its at the Arizona Republic site) and heres a few interesting comments he made(some are in character):

On what its like working w/Orton and Ted Jr:"The Legacy is a family but like any family theres rifts and fights.Whether I wouldve hung out w/Ted out of wrestling or not is besides the point.The majority of our fun moments in WWE have been together.As for Randy,you dont pick your mentors.I dont think Id have picked him off a sheet of guys but Im thankful for him having me.He brought us along and that was the point of Legacy."

On if Ted will face Orton at Mania:"I think maybe a year ago that was discussed but Mania is fluid.It moves and changes.You may see more than just them at Mania."

On if he can defeat Orton one on one"If youre going off the record books,yes.If youre going off my personal confidence,Id say maybe."

On his worst WWE moment:"When I got a call from WWE saying I was gonna be teaming w/Hardcore Holly.Now Bob was a talent and always gave fans what they wanted in the ring and he was a locker room enforcer.He was like his namesake,very hardcore.But I just wanted to be a singles wrestler."

Do you drink and if so whats your fave alchoholic drink?:"I dont drink.At 24 I have lots of college buds who like to throw a few beers back here and there but Im sad to say Im genetically dispositioned to get fat so I dont drink."

Do on screen feuds and fights ever spill over into the locker room and real life or is it easy to 'leave it at the door?":"Theres a statement in the business,"when its real its better."In the past,storylines have unfolded that have a real taste to them.Theres nothing about Legacy thats not real.These are parents that have big egos and kids w/ equally big dreams.When its real its better."

Do you ever go to wrestling forums and read what people say about you?:"No.I think WWE did a study a few years ago that the internet audience that goes in and types about what theyve seen,that audience in general is 5-7 % of our audience and as much as I want to appeal to the WWE Universe,I know were more interested in Mr. and Mrs.WalMart than we are 23 year old guys living in their parents' basements whos upset that Christian isnt WWE champ. "

What do you think of TNA and is it good to have competition?:"Its good for us to have competition but TNA isnt competition.Our competition is CSI and Dancing With The Stars.Were not just trying to put on a wrestling show.Theres still a ring and 2 guys in it but its a different show."

Would you like to be on Smackdown sometime?:"Absolutely.Smackdown is a challenge with a different audience/The same fans who watch Raw arent the same ones that watch Smackdown.Its a different demographic and Id like to see how I did.Plus theres some interesting talents there Id like to face ..CM Punk especially.GTS almost knocked my teeth out.my teeth were wobbly and I said to the doctor 'what do I do w/ my wobbly teeth?"and he told me theyd harden up and they did.But if you can stay out of the GTS and stay away from having to hear his sermons anyone can hang with Punk,hes nothing special."

On what heel is really a nice guy away from the ring?:"I'll tell you whos a sweetheart-and just to say sweetheart and think about him is weird.but Kane is about as sweet as they come,hes like my grandfather."


On who's the worst wrestler in WWE?;"Shelton Benjamin.He was a great amatuer wrestler and an All American but in WWE Id say hes the worst."

On what wrestler he'd like to be stranded with on a deserted island::Gail Kim because shes got nice legs."

Wow, Shelton the worst wrestler? He's lazy, but don't go that far...

I disagree with some of the stuff he said. I dont think Shelton is the worst wrestler in the WWE.

Yeah, that's really going to endear both the internet fans and the rest of the fans to you.

yeah i agree i love how ppl on the internet ALL live in their moms basement...first of all my mom dont have a basement...and second on of all...theres prolly half the world goes on the net...so jesus

I kinda wish I did since it would be more room for stuff but I don't. .
