A couple of days ago the trades announced that this current season of "24
" - which, I believe, is the 8th - will likely be it's last.
Not so far says Michael Ausiello!
According to EW's resident brain-of-the-box, NBC
is seriously considering snapping up the show if the Fox network decides to ditch the series at the end of the show's current run.
This is both good news and bad news. Good, because it means "24" will still be on the air, Bad because it'll mean the "24" feature film will be even further delayed.
Still, it's early days yet and anything could be happen - heck, Fox might just decide to hang onto the series (especially now that word's leaked that another network could be interested in it).
