Think last year's 3-D The Final Destination was the final installment in the death franchise? Think again: ComingSoon.net reports that Warner Brothers is mulling a fifth chapter in the hit horror series.
Today, at ShoWest in Las Vegas, ComingSoon.net sat in on Warner Bros.' The Big Picture presentation during which the studio's Alan Horn confirmed a fifth "Final Destination" film is in the works.
Each film in the series continues to be a financial success for the company. The Final Destination, which hit theaters last year in 3D, grossed $66 million domestically but made $180 million worldwide.
No details on what the movie will deal with, but you can likely expect the film to kick off with a massive action sequence in which a bunch of comely young people are brutally killed, followed by the realization by a beautiful young woman (or man) that it was all a premonition, followed by his/her frantic warnings to his/her friends to get off the plane/car/roller coaster, followed by their figuring out that they've only escaped death for a while and that it is coming for them, followed by a series of creatively brutal and horrific deaths. Probably in 3-D.
That's just a guess, though.
