Laptop or PC

What should I get? I am getting a new computer between Sunday - Tuesday and I dunno which one I should get, I plan on getting something at Walmart, which one would you recommend? I never bought one at Walmart so I must ask, do they give you warranty? or anything to protect your PC from viruses?

if you plan on making GFX, get a pc. the graphix cards on laptops burn out fast and they are a b*tch to replace. also i heard GIMP can screw up a laptop.

I'd say get a pc.

Its up to you, do you have room for a PC? I got a laptop and the only reason I have one is for on the go use and I dont have room for a pc in my room.

If you want to do more and have room Id get a pc, If you dont have room for a pc get a good laptop, I got a compaq persairo, I like it.

You have the option to buy a warrenty but it costs extra, Its worth it imo.

Your laptop should come with a 30day virus protection trial, but after 30 days you gotta order it. I use Norton Anti virus. I think its good.

I agree with you, the choice is yours' Blue. It depends on what you have and what'll be most convenient.

I started out with a laptop when I was 16. It was so awesome, I loved it. It hated me though, & started to cause problems after a few years (3 years). The problems was the most unexplainable crap, I remember one, it would act as if the shift key was always being pressed. Eventually, the thing gave out on me & litterally began to fry right in front of me. So, I got a new HP desktop, I love it. I've had it for about 7 months now.

I prefer a desktop by a long shot, a laptop is more something you just take with you, I think I just used mine for more than that.

I have 3 pcs and a laptop, I like all three, but I prefer my laptop, it takes up less room and I can take it in the bathroom with me when I shower or take a dump.

I baught myself a laptop 3 weeks ago, i'm never home on the weekends, always on the train so a laptop is the most handiest thing for me right now.

It's down to how you function daily and buy what suits your daily routine.
