When it comes down to a choice between returning in a franchise that launched with a film grossing nearly $600 million worldwide and an untested fantasy concept, you'd think deciding would be easy, but Men in Black star Will Smith can't seem to make up his mind. Insiders report that the actor is torn between Sony's Men in Black III and 20th Century Fox's fantasy-adventure The City That Sailed, according to Variety.
We're sure we don't have to tell you anything more about MiB, but The City That Sailed, written by Andrew Niccol, the screenwriter of The Truman Show and Gattaca, would tell the story of a New York street magician who is separated from his young daughter. After the girl moves to London, she finds magic candles that can make her wishes comes true. One wish ends up causing the island of Manhattan to separate from the U.S. and float toward England.
Smith hasn't appeared on the big screen lately as an actor, instead focusing on producing Sony's remake of The Karate Kid, starring his son, Jaden.
Neither Fox nor Sony would comment on which way the actor is leaning, but you have plenty of comments. Which picture do you think Smith should choose to star in next?
