As a bit of an update on the TNA Impact going from 8-10PM on April 5th: apparently it was a call made by Spike TV and not TNA Wrestling. As of now, the 8-10PM timeslot is considered a one-time experiment to see how the show performs in that slot.
The show will face RAW head-to-head as well as the NCAA tourney finals, which is generally considered rough competition for wrestling every year.
It's worth noting that the most successful hour as far as ratings are concerned, for TNA and Impact, is the 8-9PM hour of their three hour, 8-11PM debut on Monday nights back on January 4th.
TNA has exactly one week to promote the new start time, which may not be enough considering what replay ratings have been drawing for Impact, despite the heavy promotion for the Monday switch a while back.
