| Subject: Outdated Gimmick Matches? Sat 03 Apr 2010, 8:16 pm | |
| With WWE deciding that the Survivor Series concept is "Outdated", I thought it would be a good idea to take a look at some of the other gimmicks that have been around (mainly match types), that are nearing extinction.
My picks: Tables Match- This match only works with multiple stars in it, and it doesn't provide very many "close-calls" or excitment save for the recent title win. This gimmick is near obselete, thanks to the TLC and Hardcore matches. One table spot per match? No thanks.
Hell in a Cell- Hear me out. If this match continues to be whored out like it was at the Hell in a Cell PPV, then it will become utterly useless. This match is supposed to be BRUTAL. That's the identity that it has come to be known for. If it continues to be watered down, it will become useless.
Chairs match- Sadly, it's going to end no sooner than it began.
Any others? | |

| The Bullrope/Strap/Dogcollar match has pretty much died, the whole four corner touch is so predictable.
Also I think Inferno matches will die out permanently as soon as Kane retires, it'd be hard to put 'fire' into any feud.
Btw, I don't think the 'Survivor Series' match type is dead at all, there's so much u can do with it. |
