| Bret Michaels has taken a turn for the worse after his emergency appendectomy on April 12th. According to People magazine, just before midnight Thursday, the Poison singer was rushed to a hospital with an excruciating headache. Doctors learned he had suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage, meaning he was bleeding at the base of his brain stem. The 47-year-old is now in critical condition in the ICU. A source told People that Bret has undergone several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram. They’ll continue running tests for the next few days to determine the cause of the hemorrhage but in the meantime, the insider explained “it will be touch and go.” Bret recently revealed on his Web site that he almost died the night he had his emergency appendectomy since he had planned to take the stage instead of go to the hospital and had he, his appendix could’ve burst. Michaels' condition has reportedly stabilized following a brain hemorrhage.
TMZ.com has reported that Ambre Lake, season 2 winner of Rock Of Love, says she's spoken with people close to Michaels who say he's conscious and in stable condition. Another contestant from the show said that members of Poison have said the same.
Michaels will be under close observation during the next 48 hours. | |

| Yeah, this really sucks, I hope he doesn't pass, that would bother me a bit. He's not one of my OMG, absolute favorites, & that "rock of love" show was dog shit, but I'm a fan of poison & I find him to be alright. It's a shame when this kind of stuff happends to good musicians. | |
