'The Real World' being sued for $5 million

A woman filed a $5 million lawsuit against MTV for invasion of privacy, false light, disclosure of public facts, and intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress after making a recent appearance on an episode of the network’s The Real World: Washington D.C. Reuters reports Golzar Amirmotazedi alleges she was given several alcoholic beverages, then humiliated and thrown out of the house when she refused to have sex with one of the cast members.

All those appearing on the MTV show must sign a waiver, but Amirmotazedi claims she was too intoxicated to lawfully sign it. The complaint states: “Outtakes from the Real World… show that Plaintiff in fact was not in a position to provide her consent to Defendant portraying her in a false light or disclosing private facts about her.”
