WWE Receiving Positive Feedback On Weekly Raw Guest Host

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — When Will Forte, Ryan Phillippe and Kristen Wiig were looking to promote the forthcoming comedy “MacGruber,” they made an early visit not to Jay Leno or David Letterman, but a live prime-time program with an audience bigger than that of either of their shows, as well as “The View” and “Ellen.”

The show is “Raw,” a production of World Wrestling Entertainment that is shown on the USA network. In it, performers with names like the Great Khali, Triple H and Goldust climb into the ring for two hours each Monday night to do battle — albeit (sorry, fans) in matches that are staged.

In a bid to capitalize on that audience — an average of 5.3 million viewers each week, many of them male and teenagers, according toNielsen Media Research estimates — the producers of “Raw” decided last summer to begin booking celebrity guest hosts.

Those who signed up early included Jeremy Piven of “Entourage,” who insisted on climbing on the turnbuckle of the ring to fling himself onto the WWE performer John Cena, and Donald Trump, who could not resist an on-camera shouting match with the WWE chairman, Vince McMahon.

You do realise that this means we've got a lot more in the way of guest hosts now?

notice this isnt really from a fan of the show, its about the ppls who are getting money from this
the guest host stuff is exhausting...and they just need to hurry up and either make someone like Regal or Vickie Gm again...preferably Regal, considering his days as a wrestler are numbered due to age, and there no chance of him ever getting what his career has made him deserve

I know what your talking about LL. Regal should have won the ECW Title, if anything because he deserved it. But now we will have to hope that he can make it on whatever brand he's on now.

I will love to see Regal as GM again. He does deserve more then hes gotten. He is a good worker and quite entertaining.
