SD is slim on faces..Kelly and Tiffany are all they have left. Tiffany hasnt been built up and Kelly is beyond stale.

Umm as i remember, when they had to pick between Kelly and Gail to go to SD, they though Kelly was the bigger and better asset, what makes you think Gail is going to Smackdown?

SD is going to be screwed. I will like to see Gail go to SD, since they will need a new face to replace Beth, while shes out. I hope Melina will be back on SD soon, around Summer. I know they got Kelly but they need one to replace Beth.

That makes my top 2 favorite divas out with the same injury right now.

i think Gail might be performing voodoo to get her competition out of the way. they need to take the hint and move her to Smackdown. although she'll probably get injured. i get the feeling Rosa will be future endeavored next

I think the only Divas in danger of being released are the Bellas.
Nothing's going on for them.

Eve is champion.
Gail has that storyline with Bourne.
Jillian is Raw's resident jobber.
Kelly is the new top face on Smackdown.
Layla is McCool's hoe and possible Champion.
Maryse... self-explainable.
Melina is a good wrestler.
Michelle is Taker's hoe.
Natalya is with Hart Dynasty.
Rosa is Smackdown's resident jobber.
Savannah is an announcer.
Serena is with SES.
Tiffany... can't leave Kelly as the only face.

So in my opinion, the Bellas are the only ones in danger.

I am not suprised by this at all. Atheletes will always lie and alot of time are told by the company not to release info till they want it out. I think cause Beth was champion they had her lie on twitter wait till the title changed hands.

I think they got no regret on releasing Mickie James because I think they decided that releasing her was better then having to put up with her anymore. They will probably stick with what they got for now focus on tiffany and kelly kelly vs Laycool. Might consider calling a diva or 2 up.

I don't think Beth lied on twitter, I think she didn't think it was that serious like everyone else. That's why they obviously were letting her rest because they thought it was minor

What sucks is my damn luck, I get tickets for the June 5th house show, Morrison gets drafted to Raw, Melina is staying on Raw but even if she got drafted to SD she probably wouldn't have been there anyway and the only hope I had was seeing Beth and now I won't even see her, this just sucks so much

I think it's pretty obvious that Melina will be back on SD when she's healed, they'll keep Eve as the top face on Raw, no idea why, and they'll keep Melina as the top face on SD and stick Kelly in the trash hopefully.

Unfortunately it’s not good news for WWE Women’s Champion, Beth Phoenix. The Glamazon has been diagnosed with a torn ACL after suffering an injury at last week’s SmackDown tapings in a match against Rosa Mendes.

It had been hoped that the injury was a minor ankle injury and Beth was taken off last week’s Mexican tour in order to rest up and return in time for this week’s SmackDown taping in her hometown of Buffalo, New York. However it became apparent that the injury is much more severe than first thought. Sources suggest that Phoenix could be out of action for an upward of six months.
Fans will see how WWE handles her injury on tomorrow’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Phoenix’s injury is the same one that fellow three-time Women’s Champion, Melina is currently on the sidelines with.

Sucks that she's injured. an ACL tear is never good, and I was hoping she would lead women on SD, so it wouldn't suck as much.

I doubt they'll move Gail, they don't seem to give a shit about her at all. They'll just feed Kelly and Tiffany to Michelle til Melina returns then she'll get the belt

Two weeks ago on Superstars, I had a match against new SmackDown Diva, Rosa Mendes. During the course of the match I was able to reverse an Irish Whip into the corner and counter Rosa with an Up and Over maneuver where I jump out of the turnbuckle, over her and show her what The Glamazon is made of. However, when I landed, feet side by side, as I have thousands of times over the course of my career, my left knee buckled to the side and I heard a very distinctive, "Crunch."

My first instinct was to retain the WWE Women's Championship at all costs and found the opportunity to dodge Rosa's attack and get the pinfall victory. However, as I tried to stand to get my hand raised, I could tell something was definitely not right.

I was immediately examined by our WWE medical staff whom decided it would be a good idea to get things checked via an MRI. As I sat in the doctor's office, waiting for the results, all I could think about was the WWE Women's Championship and how I was not about to let anything get in the way of working to bring prestige to the title that I cherish so dearly.
Then I received the devastating news. My injury was much worse than I would let myself believe. The doctor explained that I had a generous bone bruise, torn and displaced Meniscus, sprained my MCL and had completely torn my ACL. The prognosis from him ... surgery.
After I politely (and by politely I mean I smashed a few instruments in his office) explained that I could not and would not be able to have surgery because I have a title to defend ... the doctor said ... there are options to keep working, but the long-term damage would be substantial.
I said tape it up, brace it up, and let's keep going. Besides, SmackDown will be coming to Buffalo, N.Y., this week, my HOME TOWN! I knew nothing would make me feel better than wrestling in front of my friends, family and WWE Universe in the city where I call home.

So I showed up to SmackDown this week, Glamabusiness as usual. The line-up for SmackDown included a rematch with Rosa Mendes. I felt that this was an opportunity to give her a proper welcome to SmackDown (and a little payback for that slap to the face). However, Vickie Guerrero decided that the timing was right to pull one of her executive power moves. It seems that, conveniently, Michelle McCool had decided to invoke her championship rematch clause at that very moment.
This is a great example of why Michelle and Layla choose their allies wisely. With Vickie's power in their back pocket, Laycool doesn't have to play by the rules. They make their own. And to make matters worse, Vickie made this one ... a Handicap Match. I honestly was not surprised, but also, not about to be intimidated by their antics.

The WWE Universe in Buffalo fought right along side of me with their support. I did my best to take on both of my attackers. However, one misstep and I ended up knocking heads with Michelle which put me out long enough for Layla to score the pin. It was a heart breaking moment for me when I looked up and saw them celebrating in the ring.

After the match, I was encouraged, again, that surgery really is the only option. I demanded a second opinion. The second doctor told me more of the same. "Surgery now is the best option."
So its with a heavy heart that I must inform the WWE Universe that I will be going in for surgery this Tuesday at the Dr. Andrews Medical Clinic. I will be keeping you all updated. I would like to say thank you to everyone that has given me the strength to keep fighting my battles. This one is just a tiny bump in the road.
I am reminded of advice that Howard Finkel gave me when I broke my jaw years ago, and that he reiterated to me after this injury. "Beth, just focus on these three words ... 'Better Than Ever.'"

As for the new WWE Women's Champion, Layla, I hope that her bond with Michelle and Vickie is strong because, as the saying goes ..."There's no honor amongst thieves."
I honestly hope that LayCool enjoys their victory and life on SmackDown without The Glamazon ... because in a very short while, I will be back. Healed. Better than Ever. And very ... VERY ... ANGRY.

Well she sure fooled me because I really didn't think she was injured if she could go out there and wrestle like that. This is why I admire women like her and Melina, no matter what they will always be passionate about wrestling. I hope she has a speedy recovery

I think with Victoria wanting to come back into the WWE, the WWE might just be desperate enough to sign her. They need a top face for Smackdown, and who better than Victoria to carry the division? She is one of the more capable women in the ring, and has heat with McCool on her "retiring her" which could easily be played into a storyline. Victoria could state how she realized what a mistake it was leaving the WWE, and how she returned to stop the rampage of Michelle. At least we'd get a few runs as champ out of Victoria. I really think this opportunity could work well. This isn't just an assumption of Victoria leaving and not continuing with wrestling...She actually wants to go back to the WWE. They'd be stupid, despite the things she said about them, not to hold up on her offer. (Gail did the same and they still signed her).

This could develop with LayCool targetting Victoria by saying how she quit and went to TNA, and now that its bad she comes crying back to WWE. (pictures Michelle and Layla going wa wa wa xD). Victoria defeats Layla for the title, then goes on to fued with Michelle, in turn keeping LayCool a cohesive unit.

I actually thought about Victoria coming back as well since her last match in TNA is tomorrow and they're pretty much desperate with Melina and Beth out now

I wish her all the best. It was sad reading this blog. I feel so bad for her. I hope her sugery goes well and she has a speedy recovery.

It’s a tough loss for the WWE to lose Phoenix through injury, as she was just establishing herself as a top babyface on the Smackdown brand. Beth proved how tough she is on last night’s Smackdown, fighting
through the injury, which was noted on air. We wish Beth a speedy recovery.

and it depends who's champion, because Beth needs to wait her turn, Michelle is currently busy with layla, then Kelly, then Tiffany, Kelly andLayla gets drafted to Raw for the Bella's, all that time Tiffany is fueding with Michelle and they are b uilding up Serena, who will then have her go at Michelle. Then another draft where Tiffany and Serena goes to Raw for Alicia & Jillian, Michelle goes through The Bella's then Alicia, while she is busy with Alicia, another trade and The Bella's are back on Raw for Natalya ad Melina, and so on then Gail, and FINALLY Beth will hav her turn again.
