Barrymore, the star and producer of the two "Charlie's Angels" features, is one of the producers on a TV reboot of the Aaron Spelling-created franchise.Miles Millar and Al Gough, the brains behind "Smallville", are writing the series, according to THR.
ABC TV have been looking at bringing "Charlie's Angels" back for quite some time. In,1988 they were developing "Angels '88" with Tea Leoni
onboard to play one of the main roles. It never happened. Last year, the studio hired "Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles"' Josh Friedman to write the kick-off point for a new series. It never got to pilot.
As for a new "Charlie's Angels" movie
? Not gonna happen - at least according to Cameron Diaz, who tells the media she'd have trouble squeezing into the skin-tight "Angels" attire again.
